Bills, Raiders Deny Leinart Report

The Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders have taken to their official websites and Twitter accounts to deny a report this morning by ESPN's Adam Schefter that they have discussed the acquisition of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart.

"Three teams have discussed trading for QB Matt Leinart -- Bills, Raiders, Giants. Now we wait to see if any pull trigger by this weekend", Schefter posted to Twitter.

The Bills denied the report, and Schefter fired back via ProFootballTalk.com.

"I didn't report Leinart would be traded to Buffalo," Schefter tells PFT. "I simply reported that Arizona and Buffalo discussed it this summer, which they had. There's nothing erroneous about that."

The Raiders, who have had a contentious relationship with Schefter for years, took to Twitter to deny his report.

"ESPN’s Adam Schefter is once again making untrue statements about The Oakland Raiders, this time regarding Matt Leinart...The Raiders have never discussed trading for Leinart."
