Bills Sign CB Trae Williams to Practice Squad

Free agent cornerback Trae Williams has signed with the Buffalo Bills practice squad, Ken Sarnoff, Williams' agent, announced on Twitter.

A fifth-round pick (159th overall) out of South Florida by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2008, the 5-10, 195-pound Williams spent his rookie season on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad, and was on the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad when the Pittsburgh Steelers added him to their 53-man roster last November.

Williams did not appear in an regular season game for the Steelers, and was waived in June. Williams went to training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, but did not make the 53-man roster.

In three pre-seasons' worth of action, Williams has 10 tackles, one interception (with Jacksonville), and a pair of passes defensed.

The Bills still have one open spot on the practice squad after signing wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt and linebacker Thomas Williams to the 53-man roster on Saturday.
