Browns Sign WR James Robinson

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports the Cleveland Browns have signed free agent wide receiver James Robinson.

To clear a spot on the 80-man off-season roster, the Browns waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Dion Morton.

Robinson, 28, is a 6-3, 193-pound receiver from Butler County Community College. His professional career has included stints with the Florida Frenzy (NIFL), Las Vegas Gladiators and Kansas City Brigade (Arena League), South Georgia Wildcats (af2), and Toronto Argonauts (CFL).

Robinson caught one pass for 8 yards for the Miami Dolphins during limited action during the 2009 pre-season, but was waived at the end of training camp and re-signed to the practice squad. Robinson also spent time on the Browns and Washington Redskins' practice squad, and signed a "Reserve/Futures" contract with the Redskins in January. The Redskins waived Robinson on May 3.
