Chargers Are Rooting For the Jets

Though they'd prefer to be in the post-season themselves, the San Diego Chargers will be watching Saturday night's New York Jets-Indianapolis Colts Wild Card Playoff game with a vested interest.

Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com reports that if the Jets knock off the Colts to advance to the Divisional Playoffs round, the conditional 2011 third-round pick the Chargers acquired from New York last off-season increases to a 2011 second-round pick.

The Chargers also have the Seattle Seahawks' third-round pick from the Charlie Whitehurst trade.

Cromartie started 15 games for the Jets this season, totaling 42 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 17 passes defensed. The 26-year old will be an unrestricted free agent in the off-season.
