According to a league source, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed wide receiver Quinten Lawrence off their practice squad.

Veteran cornerback Mike Richardson has been placed on waivers.

A sixth-round pick out of McNeese State in 2009, Lawrence appeared in six games as a rookie, catching one pass for 9 yards and gaining 42 yards on two rushes. Lawrence also added three tackles on special teams.

The 6-0, 184-pound Lawrence has spent the first 15 weeks of this season on the Chiefs' practice squad.
