The Indianapolis Colts announced the re-signing of safety Chip Vaughn.

Vaughn, who joined the Colts on October 25, was released on Saturday when the Colts elevated rookie wide receiver Chris Brooks off the practice squad. In two games with the Colts, the 6-2, 221-pound Vaughn had a pair of tackles.

A roster spot had been cleared for Vaughn's return when Brooks was placed on waivers on Monday.
