Cowboys Agree to Terms With 7th Round DL Sean Lissemore

Small school defensive lineman set to ink deal with Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with seventh-round defensive lineman Sean Lissemore, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Lissemore is hemmed in pretty good in the NFL's slotting system.

The 6-3, 298-pound Lissemore was a three-year starter at William & Mary, totaling 193 tackles, including 28 tackles for a loss and 13.5 quarterback sacks. Lissemore posted a career-high 14 tackles for a loss in 2009, earning first-time All-CAA honors. Lissemore also added three interceptions during his career.

Lissemore’s strength (36 reps in the bench press at his Pro Day) and athleticism have drawn comparisons to Cowboys Pro Bowl nose tackle Jay Ratliff. Even with the versatility to play both the nose and “5” technique positions, the Cowboys are very deep up-front, and Lissemore may have a difficult time earning a roster spot this summer
