Cowboys Begin Negotiations With Dez Bryant

Contract talks between the Dallas Cowboys and first-round wide receiver Dez Bryant began on Monday.

Contract talks between the Dallas Cowboys and first-round wide receiver Dez Bryant began on Monday, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Four of the Cowboys' seven picks in the 2010 NFL Draft are still unsigned. The Cowboys open training camp on July 24 in San Antonio, Texas.

Bryant is represented by Eugene Parker, who presided over San Francisco 49ers first-round wide receiver Michael Crabtree's holdout, which extended into October. Bryant was one of three Parker clients (Chargers 3rd round LB Donald Butler; Jets 4th round RB Joe McKnight) to be selected in this year's draft, and is the only one who remains unsigned.

Bryant's five-year contract is expected to be worth over $15 million dollars, with over $9 million in guarantees.
