Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick Shatters Finger

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick shattered his left index finger on Tuesday, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Scandrick had surgery to repair the finger, and will miss four-to-eight weeks, making him unavailable for the Cowboys' six remaining "Organized Team Activity" sessions, as well as the team's mandatory mini-camp, which is scheduled for June 11-13. Scandrick hopes to be ready for training camp.

A fifth-round pick (143rd overall) out of Boise State in 2008, Scandrick has 73 tackles, two quarterback sacks, 13 pass break-ups, and one fumble recovery and interception over the last two seasons. Scandrick has added 14 special teams tackles, as well.

The 5-10, 192 cornerback has started six of his 32 regular season games with the Cowboys, but has settled in as the team's nickel corner behind Pro Bowlers Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins.
