Cowboys TE John Phillips May Have Torn ACL

Dallas Cowboys second-year tight end John Phillips caught 4 passes for 60 yards in the Cowboys' 16-7 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but may be lost for the season with a torn right ACL, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports.
"I'm going to stay positive and wait for (the MRI on Monday) and see what the doctors get confirmed," Phillips said. "Regardless of what they say something's got to be confirmed on a screen so until they show it to me, I'm going to stay positive."
Phillips caught 7 passes for 62 yards during his rookie season and was pushing the more heralded Martellus Bennett for the #2 tight end spot behind Pro Bowler Jason Witten.
Undrafted rookie Scott Sicko led the Cowboys with 5 receptions on Sunday, producing 44 yards on the ground in extended action once Phillips left the game with his right knee injury.
