Cowboys WR Miles Austin Signs RFA Tender

Dallas Cowboys restricted free agent wide receiver Miles Austin has signed his one-year tender, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Austin was tendered at the "First- and Third-Round" level, and barring a long-term contract extension, will earn a $3.168 million dollar base salary this season.

Austin set career-highs in 2009, posting 81 receptions with a team-high 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

An undrafted free agent from Monmouth, the 6-3, 214-pound Austin has 99 receptions for 1,674 yards and 14 touchdowns in 53 career games. Austin has also averaged 24.1 yards on 89 kick returns and totaled 13 tackles on special teams during his career.

Austin had signed an injury-protection waiver, and has been participating in the team's "Organized Team Activity" sessions and mini-camps.
