Dolphins Claim DB Nate Ness Off Waivers

The Miami Dolphins claimed defensive back Nate Ness off waivers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Ness was waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday after starting at right cornerback in Seattle's 33-3 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent out of the University of of Arizona in 2009, Ness (6-1, 190) spent his rookie season with the Browns, New York Jets, Seahawks, and Dolphins, but did not appear in an NFL game until this past Sunday. Ness was a frequent target of Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell, finishing his NFL debut with five tackles.

Cornerback Evan Oglesby was waived to add Ness to the 53-man roster.
