Dolphins Place LB Karlos Dansby on IR

Miami Dolphins inside linebacker Karlos Dansby has been placed on injured reserve, Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald reports.

Signed to a five-year, $43 million contract in the off-season, Dansby started 13 of 14 games for Miami this season, and has 95 tackles, 3 quarterback sacks, and 4 passes defensed.

Dansby has battled wrist and toe injuries this season, and has been spelled often in base defense packages by veteran linebacker Tim Dobbins.

Wide receiver Julius Pruitt has been signed off the practice squad to fill Dansby's spot on the 53-man roster, Darlington adds.
