Eagles to Interview Saints' DBs Coach

The Philadelphia Eagles have received permission to interview New Orleans Saints secondary coach Dennis Allen for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com was the first to report that the Eagles had been granted permission.

Allen, 38, has been with the Saints for the past five seasons, and just completed his third as the secondary coach. Prior to joining the Saints, Allen spent four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, including two seasons working as a defensive assistant under head coach Jim Mora.

Mora removed his name from consideration for the Eagles and Denver Broncos coordinator positions on Wednesday.

The Eagles are looking for a defensive coordinator after firing Sean McDermott last weekend.
