Falcons CB Brent Grimes Added to NFC Pro Bowl Roster

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes has been added to the NFC's Pro Bowl roster, the team announced on Monday.

Grimes will replace Green Bay Packers cornerback Charles Woodson.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg in 2006, the 5-10, 185-pound Grimes spent his first two seasons either on the street or on the Falcons' practice squad.

A part-time starter in 2008-09, Grimes intercepted six passes in 2009, which helped him earn a starting assignment opposite Dunta Robinson. Grimes established a career-high with 87 tackles in 2010, totaling 5 interceptions and 23 passes defensed, the second-highest total in the NFL.

The 27-year old will be a restricted free agent this off-season.
