Haynesworth to Play on Passing Downs

ESPN's Ed Werder reports, via Adam Schefter's Twitter page, that Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth has been informed that he will play primarily on passing downs tomorrow night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Haynesworth will line up at an interior position, Werder's report adds.

After missing the first portion of training camp for failing the Redskins' conditioning test, which led to swelling in his knee, Haynesworth had been working with the second-team defensive line at the "5" technique end position in Jim Haslett's 3-4 defense.

The 6-6, 335-pound Haynesworth has posted 27.5 quarterback sacks from a tackle position during his eight-year NFL career.
