Haynesworth Won't Take Conditioning Test on Tuesday

Jason Reid of the Washington Post reports that a sore knee will prevent Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth from taking his conditioning test on Tuesday morning.

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan's policy about Haynesworth needing to pass the test in order to practice with his teammates remains in place.

Haynesworth has worked on the side while practices have been going on, and has spent time after practice working with defensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and defensive line coach Jacob Burney on what his role in the defense will be once he passes the test.

By the way, any sympathies folks had for Haynesworth went out the window when ESPN's Mike Golic took the test and performed as well as Haynesworth did. (Golic shorted his runs, and actually failed the first heat. Greenberg's initial time was 1:11, over the 70-second limit. But that an ex-player, so far removed from playing, can even make it close to passing, should mean that a current player who just lost 30+ pounds via a strict training regimen should ace it.)
