Jets Suspend & Fine Strength Coach

New York Jets head strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi has been suspended for the remainder of the season and fined $25,000, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Alosi intentionally stuck his left knee out to trip Miami Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll during a third quarter punt on Sunday. Carroll was shaken up on the play, but would return to the game.

Alosi apologized to Carroll, the Dolphins, and the Jets after the game.

"Whatever the disciplinary actions are, I'm willing to accept them and move forward from there," Alosi said. "I’ll take whatever disciplinary actions the league or the team (hands out). It's on me."

Alosi's suspension is without pay and would apply to the post-season, should the Jets advance past the regular season.
