LB Brad Jones May Be Next Packer Down

Green Bay Packers linebacker Brad Jones has been ruled out for Sunday's game with a shoulder injury.

The Packers add that Jones' injury will eventually require surgery, and that the team is determining when that would be.

Jones (6-3, 242) was a seventh-round pick out of Colorado by the Packers in 2009. After spending the first part of his rookie season in a special teams role, Jones stepped into the starting lineup midway through the season and totaled 28 tackles and 4 quarterback sacks, tying for third on the team.

Jones started the Packers' playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals, picking up a pair of tackles.

A starter in five of six games this season--inactive for the Week 3 loss to Chicago--Jones has 27 tackles, but no quarterback sacks.

The injury-depleted Packers added a trio of linebackers this week, claiming Diyral Briggs off waivers from the Denver Broncos and signing Matt Wilhelm and Erik Walden as free agents.
