Rush offenses in the NFC North are about to get a rude awakening, as the Detroit Lions have used the second pick in the 2010 NFL Draft on Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Suh posted 214 tackles (56 for a loss) and 24 quarterback sacks during his four years with the Cornhuskers, and was dominant during his senior season, totaling 82 tackles and 12 quarterback sacks. Suh was a first-team All-American in 2009, and won the Outland Trophy (best interior lineman), the Lombardi Award (best college lineman or linebacker), the Chuck Bednarik Award (best collegiate defensive player), the Bronko Nagurski Award (best college football player in the NCAA), and was named the Associated Press' Player of the Year.
The 6-4, 302-pounder from Portland, Oregon was also a Heisman Trophy finalist.
