Orakpo to Play the "Buck"

Believe it or not, there are Washington Redskins other than Albert Haynesworth gearing up for new roles in Jim Haslett's 3-4 system, including 20009 first-round pick Brian Orakpo, who'll be playing the "Buck" linebacker spot.

"Buck linebacker is different because we've got pass responsibilities on four downs and also rush responsibilities and blitzes as well," Orakpo tells Jason Reid of the Washington Post. "We've got to know the best of both worlds."

Orakpo (6-4, 260) tied for the team lead with 11 quarterback sacks last season. He is by far the most explosive and versatile athlete the Redskins have in their front seven, and is the most logical choice to play a variety of roles in the defense.
