Packers Rule QB Aaron Rodgers Out For Sunday Night

The Green Bay Packers have ruled quarterback Aaron Rodgers out for Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Rodgers had been listed as "Doubtful" after missing all of this week's practices due to a concussion he sustained during last Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Detroit Lions. It was Rodgers' second concussion of the season.

Third-year quarterback Matt Flynn will make his first NFL start for the 8-5 Packers, who are in must-win mode to keep their playoff hopes alive. Flynn has completed 25-of-46 pass attempts for 246 yards and 2 interceptions in 27 career games, all in a reserve role.

Practice squad quarterback Graham Harrell will be signed to the 53-man roster, with safety Anthony Smith placed on injured reserve.
