Patriots RB Kevin Faulk Has Torn ACL

New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk has torn the ACL in his right knee, Shalize Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports.

Faulk was injured when he was pushed out of bounds by New York Jets cornerback Drew Coleman after an 8-yard run in the 4th quarter of New England's 28-14 loss to the Jets on Sunday.

The 34-year old Faulk has been with the Patriots since 1999, when New England used the 46th overall pick on the former LSU standout.

Over the last 12 seasons, the versatile Faulk has rushed for 3,550 yards and 16 touchdowns, while adding 424 receptions for 3,667 yards and 15 scores as a receiver out of the backfield.

Faulk is in the Top 5 in Patriots' franchise history in both rushing yards (5th) and receptions (4th).
