Patriots Re-Sign OL Quinn Ojinnaka

The New England Patriots announced the re-signing of offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka.

Ojinnaka fills the roster spot vacated with Wednesday's trade of Randy Moss.

In August, New England acquired Ojinnaka from the Atlanta Falcons, where the former fifth-round pick out of Syracuse in 2006 had started 12 of his 39 games.

Ojinnaka was a restricted free agent during the off-season, and was set to make a $1.176 million base salary this season. Upon joining the Patriots, Ojinnaka agreed to a contract restructure, lowering his base salary while providing an opportunity to recoup the difference via playing-time incentives.

Suspended for the 2010 regular season-opener for violating the league's personal conduct policy, Ojinnaka was inactive for two weeks before he was released on September 30.

In addition to Ojinnaka's re-signing, the Patriots added quarterback Brett Ratliff to the practice squad.
