Rams' Offer to Bradford Exceeds $72M

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the St. Louis Rams have a six-year contract offer to first overall pick Sam Bradford that exceeds $72 million dollars, but is under $80 million dollars in total value.

The two sides are still negotiating, Thomas adds, and the Rams hope that Bradford will be with the team when they conduct their first on-field practice of the 2010 training camp at 3pm on Saturday.

How much of that $72-80 million dollar offer was guaranteed was not mentioned in Thomas' report, which indicates that may be the sticking point in negotiations. Bradford's agent, Tom Condon of CAA, is reportedly seeking between $45 and $50 million dollars in guarantees as part of his rookie contract.
