Ravens Fire QBs Coach Jim Zorn

The Baltimore Ravens have fired quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn, Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Hensley reports that the decision to part ways came after Zorn had a meeting with head coach John Harbaugh.

A former NFL quarterback and head coach with the Washington Redskins, Zorn figures to have coaching options.

Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Al Saunders, who coached with Zorn in Baltimore, may want him to join Hue Jackson's coaching staff. Zorn replaced Jackson as the Ravens' quarterbacks coach when Jackson took the Raiders' offensive coordinator job in 2010.

Zorn may also be an option with the Seattle Seahawks, who he played for from 1976-1984, and coached for from 1997-98 and 2001-07, working closely with Matthew Hasselbeck, who went to three Pro Bowls during that span.

The Seahawks are looking for a quarterbacks coach after Jedd Fisch accepted the offensive coordinator position at the University of Miami.

Update: Because he's much smarter than me, ESPN's Mike Sando connected the dots for Zorn to land with the Cleveland Browns, where Holmgren is the top boss, and new head coach Pat Shurmur runs the west coast offense.
