Ravens OT Jared Gaither Signs RFA Tender

Baltimore Ravens restricted free agent offensive tackle Jared Gaither has signed his one-year tender, the team announced on Monday.

The Ravens selected Gaither in the fifth-round of the 2007 Supplemental Draft after the 6-9, 340-pound tackle was ruled academically ineligible for the 2007 season.

With three accrued seasons, Gaither was not eligible for unrestricted free agency this off-season and was tendered at the "First Round" level, which carries a $2.396 million dollar base salary in 2010

Gaither has started 28 games for the Ravens during his three years in the NFL, including 11 games last season. A foot injury has kept Gaither sidelined throughout the team's off-season workouts, and 2009 first-round pick Michael Oher has replaced Gaither as the team's starting left tackle. Gaither is expected to start at right tackle, but will be challenged by Oniel Cousins.

With Gaither signed, fullback Le'Ron McClain and safety Dawan Landry are the remaining unsigned restricted free agents on the Ravens' roster.
