Ravens Release DE Trevor Pryce

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they have terminated the contract of veteran defensive end Trevor Pryce, and re-signed veteran safety Ken Hamlin.

Pryce is three games into his 14th season of his NFL career, which began as a first-round pick (28th overall) out of Clemson by the Denver Broncos in 1997. During his career, Pryce has 90 quarterback sacks, posting double-digit totals on three occasions.(1999, 2000, 2006)

Pryce led the Ravens with 6.5 quarterback sacks in 2009.

The 35-year old defensive end took a $2.5 million paycut to remain with the Ravens, and has been active for all three of their games in 2010.

Hamlin signed with the Ravens in June, but was released last Wednesday when cornerback Cary Williams returned from a two-game suspension.
