Redskins QB Jason Campbell Signs RFA Tender

Washington Redskins restricted free agent quarterback Jason Campbell has signed his one-year tender, reports Rick Maese of the Washington Post.
Campbell was tendered at the "First Round" level, and if he's not traded and signed to a long-term contract extension, would earn a base salary of $3.143 million dollars in 2010, which is 110% his base salary from last season.
Campbell has started 46 games for the Redskins over the last four seasons, completing 61.2% of his pass attempts for 10,860 yards, 55 touchdowns and 38 interceptions, compiling a passer rating of 82.3. The Redskins acquired Donovan McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, and have granted Joel Segal, Campbell's agent, permission to seek a trade with a team who is willing to grant Campbell the opportunity to earn a starting job.
Before any trade could be made, Campbell needed to sign his one-year tender.
In addition to Campbell, Redskins restricted free agents Will Montgomery and Chris Wilson have signed their one-year tenders. Defensive lineman Lorenzo Alexander was signed to a three-year extension, leaving Reed Doughty, Kedric Golston, Stephon Heyer, Rocky McIntosh, Anthony Montgomery, and Carlos Rogers are the unsigned Redskins restricted free agents.
