Chicago Bears quarterback Matt Gutierrez tells Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune that he has been cut.

Signed by the Bears on August 18, Gutierrez did not appear in a pre-season game, and was not going to make the team's 53-man roster after the signing of veteran Todd Collins.

Gutierrez (6-4, 230) is an undrafted free agent out of Idaho State who has completed both of his pass attempts for 18 yards in six games over three seasons with the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.
