Texans Agree to Terms With LB Danny Clark

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with veteran linebacker Danny Clark.
Those terms were not disclosed.
Clark, who turned 33 on Sunday, was a seventh-round pick (245th overall) out of the University of Illinois by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2000 NFL Draft. Clark started 27 of his 61 games for the Jaguars before signing a three-year deal with the Oakland Raiders, where he totaled 242 tackles, three quarterback sacks and 12 pass break-ups before he his contract was terminated before the 2006 season.
Signed to a one-year deal by the New Orleans Saints, Clark totaled 29 tackles, including 13 on special teams, in 2006 before agreeing to a one-year deal with the Houston Texans for the 2007 season. Clark started 8 of 13 games and posted 51 tackles and the second interception of his career for the Texans.
In 2008, Clark signed a two-year, $4 million dollar contract with the New York Giants, where he's started 26 of 32 games, posting 123 tackles and a pair of quarterback sacks.
With the suspension of Brian Cushing, Clark adds veteran depth behind Zac Diles at the strong-side linebacker position.
