Texans Sign CB Karl Paymah

Josina Anderson of FOX-31 in Denver reports that free agent cornerback Karl Paymah has signed with the Houston Texans.

Paymah (6-0, 195) was a third-round pick (76th overall) out of Washington State by the Denver Broncos in 2005.

In four seasons with the Broncos, Paymah started 5 of 60 games, totaling 101 tackles and 3 interceptions. Paymah signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2009, starting two of 12 games, totaling 27 tackles and forcing a fumble on special teams.

Signed by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this off-season, Paymah was released as part of the team's final roster cuts on September 3.

The Texans will need to make a corresponding roster move to add Paymah.
