Titans QB Chris Simms' Court Date Moved to October

Tennessee Titans quarterback Chris Simms' court date has been pushed back to October 7, the New York Post reports.
Simms was arrested in Manhattan last month and charged with driving while impaired (marijuana).
The Titans play the Arizona Cardinals in a pre-season game tonight, and Simms was represented by his attorney in court this morning. The district attorney asked for an arrest warrant be issued, which was denied by the presiding judge.
"I'm not issuing a bench warrant but I want him here on a future date," said Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Michael Yavinsky. "If Mondays are bad because Sundays he works, let's not pick a Monday."
October 7 is a Thursday, which is not normally a day off for NFL players. The Titans will be preparing for their game against the Dallas Cowboys that week.
