Wilfork, Soliai Fined $10,000

Nose tackles gained national attention in a Sports Illustrated cover story this week. They also caught the attention of the NFL office, who passed along their congratulations to two AFC East nose tackles in the form of fine notices this week.

New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork was fined $10,000 for unnecessarily driving Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne into the ground on Sunday.

In the same game, Dolphins nose tackle Paul Soliai was fined $10,000 for his third-quarter hit on Patriots back-up quarterback Brian Hoyer, who completed a 42-yard touchdown on the play.
