Packers add Reggie Begelton to active roster

The team will also add to defensive players to the game day roster via the practice squad.

With Davante Adams out one more game while he comes back from a hamstring injury and Allen Lazard on injured reserve with a core muscle injury, the Packers have added a wide receiver to their active roster.

Former Canadian Football League standout and Packers practice squader Reggie Begelton will make his Packers debut as a member of the team tonight when the Falcons arrive to take on Green Bay for Monday night football.

Begleton, who caught 102 passes last season in the CFL, attended Lamar University as a walk on. At Lamar, Begelton was very productive, catching 227 passes for 2,435 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Along with the wide receiver, the Packers announced they have brought up linebacker De'Jon Harris and defensive lineman Billy Winn, who played last week in New Orleans.

The team also announced that tonight's kickoff has been pushed back, again, to 9pm est/8pm cst.

I still have doubts about a CFL player being ready for the NFL and Matt’s offense as well as Rodgers trust. But, be that as it may, welcome to the Packers Reggie!

It kind of tells you the difference in talent level between the CFL and NFL. Reggie was a superstar in Canada, and is a #7 receiver in the NFL. I wish him success.

If he's a gamer, he'll make the most of this opportunity.

The question is: how many snaps will he get?

Big opportunity for Reggie, I wonder if he sees any snaps tonight, I have to be believe it will be mainly 12 personnel most of the game or 11 with Jones/Ervin or Sternberger as the 3rd receiver.....

It seems like a TT move .( A Good One) kind 'a obscure player ..sure they had to look deep to find him ;.. He wasn't working at a car dealership LOL...can't remember the RB name but did very well and went on to have good seasons with another team..
