Cory's Corner: It's Jordan Love's Time Now

I guess Packers president Mark Murphy was right when he called Aaron Rodgers, “A complicated fella.”

Rodgers is a magical mystery tour that no one can completely figure out. He is the best passer of the football I have ever seen and has been able to literally perform magic within the white lines.

But he knew the rules. He said he didn't lie when he was asked directly if he was vaccinated on Aug. 26, but he didn't tell the truth either. He has always wanted to be the smartest person in the room, but this makes him look petty and small.

"I realize I'm in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now," Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday. "So, before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I think I would like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself."

Rodgers is an intelligent man, but he isn't smarter than a gaggle of scientists and medical professionals. He mentioned that "health isn't a one-size for everybody." That's fair, but the equation is a little bit different when over 750,000 Americans have died because of this pandemic.

He knew that if he wasn’t vaccinated and he tested positive, he would be out 10 days. And that's why you get vaccinated. Not for yourself but for the other 52 guys in the locker room that Rodgers has been praising all season long. The guys that the Packers traded for and the guys that the Packers picked up off the scrap heap. They expect Rodgers to be there. However, he will miss Sunday’s game at Kansas City and may miss the Week 10 game vs. Seattle. That’s a tough pill to swallow for a team that is trying to grab the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

But now it’s Jordan Love’s time. You remember him right? The Packers traded up to take him 26th in the 2020 NFL Draft. We have seen glimpses of him in preseason action, but since nobody of note actually plays in the preseason, we still don’t know if he can play.

This actually is a good time for Love. The Packers are 7-1. The expectations are low and he is surrounded by a talented crew of offensive stars. The offensive line is one of the best and deepest in the league. The Packers have a head coach that is 33-7 in the regular season and 2-2 in the postseason in his third year.

Not to mention, the Chiefs are a complete tire fire on defense. Kansas City is 28th in yards per rush (4.6), 29th in yards per game (391) and 29th in third down conversion percentage (46.7).

Back in the spring when the NFL schedule was released, we all thought this game could potentially be a Super Bowl preview. Halfway through the season, I don’t see how the Chiefs can make the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes is clearly more interested in completing the home run ball and behind-the-back passes as opposed to completing a boring pass for six yards. That team has been figured out. Put two safeties deep and make Mahomes dink and dunk it down the field. Mahomes doesn’t have the patience to do that and the Chiefs don’t trust the run enough — they only run it 35 percent of the time.

The Packers have a real chance of winning this game, even though Las Vegas is telling us that the Chiefs are a seven-point favorite.

The question is, what is more satisfying? Would you rather see Love throw a pair of picks in an ugly 16-13 win or would you rather see Love go nuts with three touchdowns in a blowout loss?

That’s a tough question because we don’t know what the future holds for the team or Rodgers. Before Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19, it appeared that the 17-year pro would find a way to come back to Green Bay in 2022.

Now I’m not so sure. Either way, all eyes are on Love right now.

Rodgers has "gone down the rabbit hole." And that he is somehow the victim, that the "woke mob" wants to "cancel" him is proof he is going further in. Chances are good this will only get worse as he ages, and enters the echo chamber where everyone agrees that this is all a conspiracy to bring him down. Why? We'll have to wait for that, but it will be interesting. And sad. It seems nothing is ever going to be his fault. And his habit of holding grudges now becomes more troublesome with these new developments.

Well stated Ricky! The cover-up is always more damning than the original problem. If Rodgers had simply been honest with the reporter in preseason, this wouldn't be much of an issue. Now Rodgers has doubled down ("I didn't lie.") on his original misdirection and looks more like a very selfish individual than the smartest guy in the room. Too bad. He is a great QB, but considerably less than great as a human being.

Yeah, I agree with you - all he had to do during TC was say he's unvaxxed, state his reasons for that if he felt like it, say he'll be following all protocols for unvaxxed players and then stick to that. Result? Minor tempest in a teapot for a few days, and some "told ya so's" after his covid test. AR apparently wanted to have his cake and eat it, too.

To make matters worse for me personally, I now think Brady is a better guy than Rodgers. (Oof, I threw up my mouth a little when I typed that). :(

I have been a fan of Jordan Love prior to the Packers drafting him. He was my number one player in the draft at the spot the Packers were drafting at. I wanted the Pack to draft Jordan, particularly once the Vikings took WR Jefferson about 3 or 4 spots ahead of the Packers.

I'm excited to see the Packers long term QB play. He is the future and I am hoping the best for him. He on all accounts is an extremely well adjusted young man.

I’m looking forward to a game of football. Win or lose that’s what I love to watch and debate, not personalities. After an off season of deliberately being toyed with and now this farce, watching Love start his growing pains seems like a picnic.

I’m not sure how pretty it will be. Rodgers first forays weren’t that great, but it will be football.

I’m concerned about our D line depth. Lost Keke and Lowry is hobbled. That could be as important as starting Love. Can Slaton and Heflin make this their coming out game by pressuring and disrupting in the middle as we will need them to?

Can Campbell contain Kelce, or will Kings length be a useful tool in this match up? Can Stokes use his speed and length to contain their deep threat? How will we attack the middle on O without Tonyan? All key considerations lost in the mix as a result of the focus on Rodgers. Love is but one question among many. It will be an interesting afternoon in football terms.

Yup. This will be Love's first time in a game that counts. He got all the reps in the mandatory minicamp but I don't think that means a whole lot. It didn't hurt, but not super important. AR still got the reps in TC. So I don't think fans should make any extreme judgments based on the results of Love's first game. Obviously, it is beneficial to the team if Love plays well, and it is good for his confidence. Even so, things change sometimes for players after they put things on tape and tendencies become apparent over time. Good or bad, we should go easy on the pronouncements.

I'm starting to think that the best thing for him going forward would be to lean on his playmakers, play credibly, not make mistakes, and win a football game. If he throws for 300 yards, 3 TDs with no picks, and the Packers win big, that might lead to pressure and expectations in the Packers fan base and media he'll never be reasonably be able to live up to.

I would expect this to be rough. We saw last week the difficulties Rodgers had playing with receivers he had no experience with. We will be asking Love to debut never having played in preseason with most of those taking snaps. He’s probably thrown to ESB, Taylor and Rodgers. That’s maybe 15% of the snaps combined. Adams, Cobb, Lazard and MVS didn’t play in preseason and aren’t on the scout team. Could the LaFleyr approach to preseason bite us again?

It should be an entertaining game and can't wait to see how Jordan does. I think we will see some great things from him and some things that may see us go 'Hmmmmmm'. We need to expect that since he is still really raw.

As a Rodgers fan, and someone that had hoped he would finish his career in GB, I'm not sure how to feel. My best guess is that many fans feel somewhat the same, disappointed.
You don't need to be an athlete, and many of us can attest to it, that sometimes you need to "take one for the team". It happens in a lot of different professions everyday, and Rodgers chose otherwise while after every win almost fawning over how much he loves this team.
He could have come out, explained his position, stood his ground, and made his point. We are all welcome to our beliefs. He could have taken the humble approach, stated that he believes what he believes, that he has his concerns and hesitations about the vaccines, and I for one would have bought that, he had some valid points. Hell, for all I know I might start growing horns next week, or a third eye, I'm vaccinated!
Instead, he went on the Pat McAfee show, stomped on anyone with open toed shoes, and tried to turn this into some kind of Woke or Cancel Culture conspiracy against him. That is just plain Bullshit, nobody is out to 'get you' Aaron!
For a guy that is obviously very intelligent, something that is well documented, this is the first time that I can say I've seen him come away from something looking like nothing but a stupid ass.

Agreed. There is also a world of difference between being intelligent and understanding a given topic. This is why we rely on experts. Yeah, I can read up on anything. I'm a relatively smart guy. But when I sit down with a real expert I will get schooled every single time. Doubly true if you get your "knowledge" off the internet. And I get it. Tom and Aaron are defying father time by going their own way on nutrition, and it has worked for them. But that kind of self-education is not the same as science. And if they had been wrong they would have simply washed out at a normal age, or earlier. This is a global pandemic. Caused by a virus that people who really understand viruses are cautious when speaking about it. You MIGHT get lucky with your internet sleuthing, but the odds are about the same as winning the lottery.

No one knows who or what dosages were given or where and only cites 6 or 7 trials out of the tens of dozens that have been conducted. It also shows a graph where cases dropped at a time when worldwide cases were dropping and then shows where cases rose at shortly after when worldwide cases spiked. Supposedly when anew president cut back the drug.

Dude, seriously, you come off as angry, ill-informed, and arrogant. I'm fairly certain you haven't read, and if you did read it, didn't understand the research abstract you posted. You mention in your post "they don't give the Nobel Peace Prize for veterinary drugs." You're right. The Nobel Peace Prize is given for, well, peace. At least that's a pattern I've noticed over the years.

The first sentence in the abstract reads "In 2015, the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, in its only award for treatments of infectious diseases since six decades prior, honoured the discovery of ivermectin.." They honored the discovery of Ivermectin. The abstract goes on to explain how IVM was used successfully in treatment of tropical diseases, and has been used with some COVID patients since 2020. What exactly is the lamestream media keeping from us and what's the result of that effort to misinform? I read the abstract and I'm left with a lot of questions. The biggest, in terms of treatment of COVID19, is; so what?

What would make you happy, little buddy? For the kind of vitriol you're spewing in this thread, you must have an end game in mind. What would help you feel better? Want me to take up arms and storm City Hall? Write an nasty email to CNN? Head out to Farm and Fleet and pick up some IVM? Go into the kitchen closet and snarf a couple of my dogs Heartguard meds (packed with IVM, yum!). Curse at someone here on CHTV? Maybe just an "atta boy"?

I'm going with that. Here ya go: Atta boy, fordguy!

A Nobel PEACE prize to a veterinary drug? Do you even have a clue what a Nobel Peace Prize is awarded for? Dumb question....obviously not.

Over a billion people have taken a deworming drug meant for horses. Let's see...latest world population figures would put that figure at about 7.8 billion. So you're claiming that 1/8th of the world's population have taken a horse deworming drug. And you wonder why people downvote you.

The problem isn't that he wasn't vaccinated. You can still play in the NFL if you're not vaccinated as long as you follow the protocols that were set up and agreed upon for unvaccinated players. Dr. Aaron Rodgers decided to pick and choose which of those protocols he deemed were necessary, and which weren't, while the rest of the league had to follow ALL the protocols. That's the issue here. Not following the rules that were put in place isn't "taking a stand". It's saying that you're above having to follow the rules set for everyone.

Exactly correct 13TimeChamps. Not only are Rodgers actions not "taking a stand", they are irresponsible in terms of his teammates and even his opponents on the field. What kind of stand allows him or anyone to expose others to a deadly virus after you have stated publicly that "I have been immunized".

If Rodgers returns healthy I will continue to enjoy watching him play QB however I will not believe anything that he ever says again. I always respect other people until they give me a reason not to respect them any longer. Regrettably, Rodgers has brought me to the point where I no longer have respect for him. The way in which he has handled himself in this situation shows that he does not have any respect for other people including the team mates that he claims to love. His team expects him to be there, he said that they come to Green Bay to play with him and yet this is how he treats them while they are busting their butts to win games. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

As a Packers fan I will cheer for and support whoever plays for the Packers. This week that means Jordan Love at QB.
Go Pack Go! I hope that MLF and the Packers make a clear statement that they can win without Rodgers.

"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

"You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."

"Won't get fooled again!"

Few leaders do not make errors. The true test for longevity’s is how they respond to them and are seen to do so. It’s probably too soon to determine that in this case. But yesterday will likely not be seen as helpful in retrospect.

He’s not here. Let’s talk about and watch those who are.

Coldworld you are correct. But the great leaders own up to it and take responsibility for them. We are in era where anything someone does is OK as long as they don't get caught at it. Well Rodgers caught and he is paying the price but unfortunately so is his team and his fans.

Back in September the Wall Street Journal had an article entitled "We are living in the Golden Age of Stupidity", Rodgers can be the poster boy for that article with this latest episode. Thanks, Since '61

I agree Dobber. IMO, personal integrity is the first and most crucial character trait for any leader. Without that a leader cannot build trusted relationships. Personal integrity requires respect for oneself first, respect for others and the willingness to accept responsibility and be held accountable for one's actions.

Rodgers behavior in this situation is unacceptable for a child never mind a 37 yer old adult. Not because he did not get vaccinated but because he tried to deceive everyone about it until he was caught. Now he is blaming everyone one else and not taking responsibility. Very orange like IMO. Moving on. Thanks, Since '61

...or even now, if he'd just issued a statement that said that he was using homeopathic treatments that he, and his doctors, felt would increase antibodies (against what, I don't know) and protect him. That, as everyone knows, 'breakthrough' cases are always a possibility and that he'd tested positive. He was working to get healthy to rejoin the team as soon as possible. Done. When you're a public figure like this, less is more, and he'd mostly mastered that.

Instead, he goes on this half rational, half unhinged rant on McAfee. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Pearly - you are correct. The league and the team allowed him to get by without following the appropriate protocols. They have their own culpability in this situation.

The league has been inconsistent for a long time in allowing their premier players like Brady, Rodgers and others to flaunt the rules and guidelines. That is about greed and ratings and that's on the league.

Rodgers started this deception, got caught and is now blaming others. It's wrong, stupid and unnecessary.
He is an adult and a professional. He has acted like neither in this situation. Thanks, Since '61

Except that it is not at all clear to me that Pearly is correct. The Packers may have fined AR, and if so, the NFL cannot further penalize AR.

Doing pressers while unmasked looks to me like a violation, but Cousins also has done pressers while not wearing a mask, and everyone knew he wasn't vaccinated. Perhaps Cousins got fined. Perhaps pressers are not conducted inside team facilities in MN?

The suggestion is that a media room does not fall within the definition of a “football space” as used in the NFL protocol, or at least not within the definition as understood by a number of teams.

It is my understanding that league protocol is unvaccinated players were mandated to wear a mask indoors. As ‘61 said, if the Packers were fining Rodgers I’d assume they would have been doing it for 8 weeks and I’d also have to assume that someone would have certainly leaked that.

That being said, if the Queens and Pack were not fining their quarterback, the league has a pretty sticky situation on their hands. Unless ColdWorld is right and media rooms are not considered. That could very well be true considering both Cousins and Rodgers were maskless during pressers.

By my reckoning, the Packers AND the league have both historically gone to great lengths to protect the face of the team and face of the league.. for various issues over many, many years.

Aaron Rodgers is an arrogant, manipulative asshole and not a great leader, but he's one hell of a talent at QB and he sells a lot of tickets and merchandise.

Rodgers has always been defensive on personal matters and inclined to dig in. I’m not overly surprised at his initial reaction. He is not a stupid man, but he’s also not as smart as he thinks, as many want him to be. Few of us are.

A truly aware man in his position would have foreseen this happening, knowing the odds and handled things very differently if he chose to continue his path. He didn’t. He’s human and we know him because he is an excellent player. The sage thing has always been somewhat of an illusion.

The Rodgers issue is now rolling and it will go where it will. Let’s move in and write and comment about football. I don’t care what your views are on Invermectin and mine should be irrelevant to you just as they are to the Packers, Ridgers and the NFL.

Annoyed or not, Rodgers is unavailable as a result of his choices and health/discipline outcomes beyond our knowledge. Whether this is a factor that makes the last dance or not, the die is now cast. No rethrows.

Writers need to resist the urge to poke this tiger. It will get clicks in the short term, but it may destroy the community, we need to do the same. Move on, bite out tongues and avoid non football content and commentary. I’ve just deleted a couple of potential comments. It takes restraint, but it is worth it.

A good journalist is, or used to be, more than just mouthpiece for all that they hear. It maybe true that today journalism is dead and tattle tailing and click baiting is all that is left. One or two good games from #10 will cause significant shifts in the attitudes in some populations in Packers fandom. Imagine if the Packers sweep KC and SEA under Love...who knows how that will impact the mindset of #12? Likewise, if Love is bad, it strengthens ARod's position in Packer nation despite the recent developments. I wonder what ARod will be thinking when the Packers take the field the next two weeks...

Hmmm...No offense Cory, but I prefer the scenario where Jordan Love throws 3 TD's, Dillon and Jones rush for 150 yards combined, the defense continues to get turnovers, AND the Packers win as a result. We have a really good HC in LaFleur. A defense which is getting better and better despite not having it's top two players, are getting key players back on offense, and are facing a team who is struggling to say the least.

This isn't out of the question...

You are correct, "his body, his choice". However misleading people about his vaccinated status and not following rules established by the NFL and the NFLPA (his union) are inappropriate behavior that puts others at risk. He is not above the rules and he put himself squarely in the bullseye with his own words and behavior (and not just with reporters, he was at a party unmasked).

The NFL and NFLPA both came to an agreement on what the rules for players would be. The rules are in place because Covid has at this point taken the lives of approximately 750,000 people. So, yes, both the NFL and the player's union thought the protocols were necessary. What rule did he break? He lied when asked whether he was vaccinated, saying he was "immunized", then immediately talking about other players on the team who had chosen not to be vaccinated. Rodgers' argument is that he never lied; well, he did, by omission or commission. Did this cause him to catch the virus? I don't know, but it sure didn't help prevent him from getting the virus. Or breaking rules by appearing at press conferences with no mask, and other violations. I know, now you can nitpick about whether the numbers can be trusted; that even people who have the shot have been infected, etc. It's an endless, and ultimately fruitless conversation. What Rodgers wants to do is ignore the rules, when whine when he gets caught, and play the victim of some sort of "haters", as you paint us. No; choices have consequences, and he wants to flaunt the rules, and then not pay the price for his choices. That's not hate. That is someone feeling they're above the rules.

Ricky did an eloquent job of responding to your points, so I won't. But know that I am not a "hater". If Rodgers wants to go unvaccinated, that is his choice. However he should not have mislead people and he certainly should not have broken the rules established by his own peer group - the NFLPA. You can complain about the rules and work to change them, but you don't get to live above them.

If you'll search for information and confirmation on relativity theory, I'm sure you'll understand sh*t of it. That is the same level of understanding Aaron Rodgers has in understanding all of fine tuned processes that occures in any, including and especially in human organism.

Doyou know how long medical doctors study and learn about human organism and about all type of illnes and functioning of it. And after they got certificate (title) of medical doctor they still need to specialise for specific areas (parts) of medicine to be known as experts in very narrow fields of medicine?

Do you really believe that any person on this planet can do this by searching through internet in few months, so that he can get enough knoledge and understanding what is correct to do in specific situation, like pandemic situation of previously unknown virus?

I'm sure most of you know my opinion on Aaron Diva Rodgers. So, I'll not talk any more. All I can add to previous posts on the subject is that he confirmed everything what I was writing about him. I regret that to some level.

From the start of this saga about drafting Jordal Love I suspected that AR recognized Jordan is the real deal. And that was upset Aaron Rodgers at substantial level.

Therefore I expect composed and calm attitude from Jordan Love, despite his heart will be in his throat from rush of adrenaline.
I also expect some excellent throws, and, as well some very bad.

I have one specter how this game will start. Packers will have first possession and they'll start from 25 yards. First play call will be throw to MVS, who will catch the ball at around 50 yards line on the right side of Packers offense and run it to 75 yards TD. KC best corner and safety will blanket Davante and KC second corner will be burned by MVS. Second KC safety will be in the box to prevent or stop the run.

When I running that situation through my mind my reality side tells me - not possible. But, I still somehow believe in that outcome.

Im excited to see Love play, but if the coaches and the players do their jobs well, we shouldn't learn too much about him on Sunday.

What I mean is that this should be a run heavy game, with designed pass plays that keep the game simple. Can love hand the ball off? Can he hit an open receiver for a 8 yard gain? Can he throw the ball away when a play gets blown up?

Those are the things I think we learn Sunday. I'd love to see him come out and play like a future hall of famer, but I suspect MLF is too smart to put him in position to make those kind of plays.

The debacle we're now witnessing, especially the latest McAfee interview, has shown us the true AR - one who is definitely NOT the smartest of guys. How can anyone ever believe anything that this jerk says from now on?

On to Love - I'm looking forward to this game and want Love to have a fantastic debut, although I'd be happy with (and expect) only an adequate debut. Wow, what a week - and not in a good way!

I admit to being a HUGE AR fan, but I want to be clear. Jordan Love - as far as I know - has said and done all the right things. This is a tough situation in many ways for him, and I wish him and the team well,

Per Rodgers, yes I'm very disappointed in him. I know that he can he headstrong and arrogant, but I do think he's a very bright guy, and independent thinker. But I oppose his stance on getting vaccinated, and very much dislike how he handled the initial press conference, and some of his statements yesterday with McAfee. To blame "cancel culture" and "wokeness" struck me as an act of cowardice on his part. if he goes complete 'right wing' with this, I will lose respect for him. I've never heard him espouse support for Trump and Trumpers, and really hope that isn't the case. But he does lay into "the media" a little too much for my comfort. At times, he makes valid points, but "the media" is an easy target and some of his attacks are not that well thought-out.

I get that he's fanatical about his body and regimen, so I cut him some slack. However, he needed to be honest when he was asked about being vaccinated, and not seek to blame others.

This is all very difficult.

If Arog had contracted syphilis with the latest of his trollops,
would he of accepted Penicillin or sought out an alternative
as he's now stating he's an allergy sufferer, or would he of been a
continued spreader as the team player he states he is?

Thought Cal Bezerky woulda gave him some wisdom - not the Trump U wisdomnot
that he now uses as an excuse..

I'm ready for some Utah St action.. Let's play ball ..Tee it up

It would have been cool to see Rod wearing Bak's helmet bc of an allergic reaction. A very lg head would have fit his personality. Please forgive me for making lite of allergic reactions, this summer I had an allergic reaction to damn yellow jacket( 2) bites to the back of my head. I'm ugly to begin with so you could imagine the gruesomeness of that magnified.

I think that the public would have understood and accepted if Rodgers stated from the outset that he had a medical exemption due to allergies. He did not - which makes me wonder about the validity or severity of his "allergies." Just more misdirection and misinformation on his part. Also glad you survived The Attack of The Yellow Jacket.

The shot in the arm is really a just shot in the dark -- and Aaron Rodgers doesn't have any responsibility to have an experimental potion injected into his body by Big Government and Big Pharma.
It's worth mentioning that the shot doesn't prevent getting COVID and dying from COVID and spreading COVID to others.
If the shot is so wonderful, why would those who got it care about those who haven't gotten it?
Rodgers' example will help to give others the courage to be independent thinkers and courageous actors against the manipulations and intimidations of the elitist establishment.

I wonder if Rodgers wasn’t “allergic” to an ingredient if he would be vaccinated.

Shame on you Swisch.

You are putting in yout comment true lies spread by anti-vaxers. Yes, you can die from covid despite you got the vaccine, but only if your immune system is compromised. If it function properly, you'll be protected even from infection. If immune system is slightly weaker, you'll get infection and even become ill, but with very mild symptoms.

To explain you why are vaccinated people worry about unvaccinated people you would have to take your head out of your stinky ass and to listen. But you are so clever and you do not need info about anything. You already knows all the world knowledge and beyond.

As I'm nice guy, I will give you few hints: more virus spreading, more mutations, much bigger chances to get strain resistant to our immune system.

Second, if you' ll have 50% of working population ill at the same time, your economy crashes.

You need more?

No, it is because there was not enough vaccinated persons and new variants (or mutants of the virus if you like) comes to the world. And you still do not have the number of protected people which would prevent spreading the virus and unabling new mutation of the virus.

And it is not true that after vaccination started died more people than after that date. Check numbers.

Oh, I'm stupid. To whom I'm giving logical explanation.Yes, earth is plain and it is supported on the back of the huge elephants.

Tell me, how the people who are defending AR by term: that is his right to chose what he will do with his body, are against free abortion for women. They do not have the same righ?

Currently, it's difficult to not see ahead without looking through the rear-view mirror - especially given the latest Rodgers drama. However, as much as I'm looking forward to Love's on-field (potential) success - I'm also hoping and wishing that his ascension to the starting QB position will bring about an off-field cultural shift with the team. One, away from gentlemen enjoying their scotch and cigars in the drawing room - talking about the Kentucky Derby. To - something more collegial, inclusive and relatable to the entire team - with no inner circles or social hierarchy.

After this season, it is expected that the Packers will become a noticeably younger team, with the anticipated departures of Rodgers, Cobb, Adams and probably Lewis (sigh). That being so, Love could ideally reflect a team that is likely to be young, fun and talented. I look forward to this fresh next chapter and possibly a new era for the GBP.

That's a nice thought, and I think it will happen if Rodgers leaves. One of the reasons I got sick of Favre toward the end was that he had his own private dressing room. I don't like that kind of culture for a sports team. We're back to the same thing with Rodgers, but worse. In his press conference at the beginning of the season, Rodgers was all about wanting to keep the millionaire veteran players instead of the younger guys. He's forgotten what it was like to be one of those guys.

I'm amazed AR's crisis communication team let him do it. Of all the spins to put on his actions, he chose those politically charged phrases. Why? He's not a victim in this by any stretch of the imagination. The press made him lie?

The "woke mob" at Prevea Health has terminated their relationship with him. Will State Farm follow? Or is Aaron secretly shilling for Deep State Farm?

I just read an article about Jordan Love's mom attending every one of his games, home or away, even if he is not expected to play. Quite a contrast to Aaron Rodgers' relationship with his family.

On the A.R Drama: ~_~

On J. L.'s first start with the A team: - - - In practice we've seen his good plays and his duds. In pre season with the B and C teams we saw pretty much the same. So far we have not seen the stand-out play talent that most are trying to sniff out with Jordan Love. This really is a good test for him. I'm sure he knows that the "Stand-out play talent" means taking some risk or converting broken plays into 1st downs if not scores. The odd part of this is, as fans of the team we know we win if we run the ball down the Chief's Pie Hole, but 50 or 60 running plays executed won't likely give us the look at Mr. Love we are all wanting. Or will it?

Lets hope MLF pushes the envelope to see what the kid is capable of. Should be a fun game to watch.

I was pleased with his performance in the preseason, but you're right, there was nothing that really stood out. I thought he made good decisions with the exception of one or two bad interceptions. He looked like he knew how to run the offense, and he looked like he belonged in the NFL. We will learn a lot more about him on Sunday, though. Even if the offense emphasizes the run, you can't win in the NFL nowadays without a decent passing game. Love will be tested.

I think that QBs play better when they’re protected, and I think that LaFleur will help protect him. Love will have a very good team around him. It’s not like these rookies starting on a bad teams.

The comments about Love as a leader intrigued me, because I remember that comment about him from the draft. I’m old school Bart Starr on this….leadership is the most important quality. I’d rather play with a leader like Bart than some more talented guy who cannot deliver in the clutch.

If he protects the rock, we’ll probably win. KC is turning it over at a Favrian rate….worst in the league.

750,000 Americans have NOT died specifically/only from the China virus.
The CDC has been declaring death by covid even though patients were compromised by diabetes, cancer, obesity, old age and other deadly diseases .
Many would have succumbed if they got the flu. As a matter of fact, the government is purposely ignoring and not pointing out how many die per year from complications of the common flu. The flu has been cancelled.
Deadly for sick, old and compromised by and large.
Like the flu.
oh and by the way, masks are useless as tits on a bull.

When I asked my physician to pull up the 2020-21 flu incidence data for the United States last May during the routine tune-up we witnessed an almost Flat curve. Masking definitely works. Social distancing and social Awareness works. Lying and dispensing propaganda do not work to the benefit of U.S.Citizens health and the World.

It may be Love's time to shine. But for how Long? I still believe you go with the winner. And that guy is Rodgers! I don't care what he does or says. He wins. He's not Colin Kapernick. He's EARNED EVERYTHING! And we haven't gone through the merry go round of Qbs that every Loser does. Criticizing a employer is nothing new. If you want more. You speak up. The press can spin anything now. And the result is aimed right at one's respect. Rodgers is news; because of his greatness. The fans have been rewarded for years. And this game isn't about repeating history. It's about doing a job for which you were drafted for. If it's Loves time to shine? Then there should be No controversy. There should be No malice. The packers should beat the Chiefs. Regardless! If Love was the right pick. The "handling with kid gloves" must come off. Love; must not be the reason the packers lose. For the Love of Gute.

Handling with kid gloves describes the way Rodgers has been coddled and babied by the press, the fans, the coaches, the FO, his team mates, and the league for about a decade.
