I 100% agree with 'everything' you shared about Jordan Love with the exception of a possible trade. Any thing could happen but even a trade for a 1st rounder would be a waste IMO. The Packers have much more invested in Love than a 1st, plus he is a good back-up QB on a rookie salary.

While sharing agreement I will go on to add it is my opinion Jordan is going to be a very good QB and will be in the NFL 10-15 seasons. Fatherless, and only 23 years of age with essentially a lost year in 2020 due to covid, Jordan's talents and confidence will be on full display in 2022. Jordan will get playing time to showcase his talents quite a bit in 2022 & 2023. I feel confident the Packers will exercise his 5th year option as the Packers transition from Rodgers to Love. How good Love ultimately becomes of course is unknown but we all need to remember his best years are still 5 to 10 years down the road meaning there will be constant growth.

Gutey has shown his talent as VP of Football Operations, but I believe the Jordan Love trade up will define him much like Wolf with Favre, and TT with Rodgers. The Packers are in great shape as once the Packers/Rodgers split occurs they will have a talented and experienced QB with 4 or 5 years experience to seamlessly take-over. 'Love' it!

If someone offered them a first, or even a second, they should take it and thank heaven that they got so lucky.

Egberts,
Your response seems to indicate Love is a bust. If the Packers knew he was I'd completely agree with you, however right now no one knows what we have in Jordan. Because of this is why I say they need to keep him.

I enjoyed listening to this podcast but you premised it on a fallacy! That being that no one knew how good Aaron Rodgers would be! Had this been season one of Rodgers yes - that is true but by Rodgers 3rd preseason everybody knew- he was Mr August and if there were any doubt's they were erased in the Dallas game that year!

In Rodger's 1st year starting they were 6-10 but lost many one score games that season with a team of diminished talent from the 07 squad! The 09 squad had a rebuilt receiving corps and two new high quality Oline starters and the d had Clay and BJ so huge infusion of talent helped make the team better and better showcase 12s talent!
