Packers Calendar: NFL Owners Meeting

NFL team owners, executives and coaches continue to meet in Arizona on Tuesday.

The NFL owners meetings continue on Tuesday in Phoenix, although it's difficult to say what specifically related to the Green Bay Packers will emerge.

The day's biggest event is the AFC coaches breakfast where every coach meets with the media for an hour while they sip coffee and eat croissants.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy isn't scheduled to meet with the media until Wednesday morning at the NFC coaches breakfast, so Packers Nation may have to wait until then to get some hard-hitting Packers coverage.

That's unless someone from the Packers organization is generous with their time and gives an interview to the media out of the goodness of their heart, such as general manager Ted Thompson did on Monday:

Otherwise the typical rule changes will continue to be discussed at the owners meetings.

The league is considering changes to the extra point, and perhaps that will become clarified on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Packers scouts will be busy checking out workouts being held on the pro-day circuit, where potential pro prospects will be on display.

Among the more interesting stops will be a pair of events right across Wisconsin's border in Iowa. Both Iowa State and Northern Iowa will hold workouts.

Despite coming from the ranks of the FCS, Northern Iowa has a pair of players likely to be drafted between running back David Johnson and defensive lineman Xavier Williams, who was arguably the biggest snub of the NFL Combine.

Other pro days being held on campuses across the nation on Tuesday include East Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio and Northwestern State.
