I fear playing Chicago now, especially If this offense doesn't get fixed.

CBs, RBs, poor tackling, all of these are factors but if Aaron Rodgers does not return to this team none of those factors will matter. This would be easier to accept if Rodgers was trying to play through an injury or if he was out of the game with an injury (which he might as well be). This offense may be stale but if Rodgers hits his open receivers the offense would still be working fine. The Packers left at least 14 points on the field yesterday. 4 when they ran that idiotic empty back field on first and goal and Rodgers fumbled. Eventually they made a FG following Burnett's pick. At least 3 more when A. Rodgers threw behind a wide open R. Rodgers. Then again when he missed Cobb wide open in the end zone. At least another 3 points were lost when Rodgers threw his pick on the opening drive in the second half. With the protection our OL is providing Rodgers should be picking defenses, any defense, apart. The idea of WRs not getting separation is ridiculous since he still made some tight throws yesterday to Adams and Jordy and he was perfect on the Packers one TD drive. A. Rodgers play is hurting the team, period. And it's up to MM to hold him accountable and get it corrected. Either with a shot in the head or a kick in the butt as I posted last week, or a benching or a shrink or whatever it takes but as bad as he's played there is plenty of football left in this season to get Rodgers and this team back on track. I understand that they were down their top 3 cornerbacks, but Gunter's performance last night was unacceptable. I feel like they have no choice but to release him.

1. Eddy gives it everything he has but hey, he has obviously nuzzled up to the dinner plate a little more. I mean doesnt he care? The analyst were even joking that no way this guy is 234. More like 254. That is not a guy trying to win a SB.

2. Rogers is an easy one. What's the diff now from the past. First he used to have two very talented go to Tight Ends to pass too if Jordy hadn't got open down field.
Second, he did have some more agile runnig backs he could pass to out of the back field.
Third, his receivers of old were reliable and caught most of the passes. Including quick slants because they were quick.
All that is gone now so what is he supposed to do. R rogers is the worst TE in football. Adams catches every other pass. Cobb is doing ok but Jordy has lost at least a step and is not running free.
No weapons to throw to would make one very unhappy at best.

I never thought I would say this but Rodgers inaccuracy and terrible decision making is killing us. What the hell is happening with him?

Sick to my stomach. Something is going on mentally with Rodgers. I don't see him snapping out of it anytime soon. If I'm the Bears, I do what Dallas did: rush 3 or 4, drop everyone into coverage. You don't have to blitz to get Rodgers rattled -- he already is!

Lacy is hurt and Rodgers can't find an open receiver anyway. It's going to be an ugly game between two struggling teams. Even if the Packers somehow win, it's against a 1-5 Bears team that is awful.

Ask yourself this - how many yards would Tom Brady be throwing for with these WRs and this offensive line - the answer is "as many as he wanted to". It's ALL on Aaron Rodger's steep fall from the top of the QB pack. This is the most disheartening thing to see.

Horrible game. The worst part of the offense was the turnovers... Just sloppy. Stop turning the ball over, and it will go a long ways to fixing the offense.

A few positives from the game. The OL continues to play well.
They have now found a true receiving threat out of the backfield with Ty Montgomery.

Rodgers keeps saying he's his worst critic....I believe he is the worst critic since his self critique is the worst as he hasn't improved one bit but is regressing weekly.

OMG! The Packers lost a football game and played poorly in the process.

I expected to spend the day in the dark, but to my surprise, the sun did rise today.

The primary problem is that the Packers have won too many games over the past 10 years and have spent year after year picking replacement players near the bottom of the barrel. Chances are better to improve your football team when you get to pick near the top; just like when we used to play sandlot baseball games when we were kids.

Things are designed to equalize/change in the NFL and that is a good thing.

I think we are seeing how good the team is as a whole without #12 playing at a MVP level. For 6 or 7 years now the deficiencies of the draft and develop with little or no dipping into FA to bring in extra veteran leadership is rearing its ugly head. When will consistently being 1 of the 3 or 4 youngest teams in the league, drafting at the bottom of the 1st rd finally catch up with you? I think its now.

Olivia has sucked all of the man juices out of Rodgers... he is no longer a man... he is a woman playing a man's game.

Who would have thought that the player (Jacob Schum) who everyone wanted to run out of town would be the Packers "Star Of The Day", a 47 yard punt that stopped dead on the 2 yard line. Even less of a chance that he would not punt again in the game because the offense kept dropping the ball on the field.

- The Packers 1st down offense is historically bad and was even worse on Sunday.

- They need their top 3 DB's back badly.

- At what point do we assume A Rod will never be what he was? It's been nearly a full season of poor play from him, at 32 years of age. Maybe the idea of giving your 23 year old backup some run isn't so ridiculous.

- Jordy Nelson isn't the same player. He plays scared.

- Why didn't we call up Don Jackson from the PS to be the back-up RB vs running undersized WRs out of the backfield (which hasn't worked in 1.5 years).

- They need to restructure Clay Matthews this off-season, or force him to take a pay-cut. 13 million a year for his next-to-nothing production is unacceptable.

- Watching A Rods lack of fundamentals makes you wonder how much, if any, control or sway MM has over him at this point.

- With all the revenue steams coming in, do the Packers leadership (Murphy/B of D) have the fortitude to hold TT, MM and/or Rodgers accountable for their sub-par results?

#1 Takeaway is this team from the top on down has killed us. Starting with a inept GM who only likes to draft his way. Last few yrs our CBs have been getting beat with easy deep routes. You would think he would stop drafting short avg speed CB and the one CB that is Tall is slow and ad UDFA at that. Then you go into a game with 1 RB thinking you are gaming the system using a WR as a Rb. You TT(we) looked dumb with that move. Especially when you had a chance at other RB. TT never drafts the one thing you cant teach... SPEED. This team has lacked speed since... Forever. Then MM has the same plays from 10 yrs ago. Do you ever look at the replays and see the WR running routes half speed or those same comeback routes. We do not utilize the entire field Teams see that now MM. Wake Up!!!

Mashed Potato Mike's seat is finally hot!! His inability to create mismatches and be creative is magnified ten fold with Rodgers playing like shit and tough personnel situations. Meanwhile Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brisset go out and hand Brady a 3-1 record upon his return thanks in part to Belichek scheming to the strengths of his team and the weaknesses of his opponents instead of taking the "this is what we do" appraoch..... Mike is not willing nor may he be able to adjust his approach and schemes as defensive coordinators are using 10 years of tape of the same thing week in and week out. If you aren't going to change things up especially in the wake of everyone knowing what to expect then the organization needs to move on. It's been great and they've had great success but it's the NFL and if your approach isn't fluid and flexible it is stubborn and will fail. At this point they will tread water but part of me hopes hopes they sink otherwise it could be an AJ Hawk situation where they hang on to the status quo for 3 years too long before making the necessary changes that will spark success. Nothing is going to change. Mike has proven that for the last 17 games as Rodgers flounders.

Mike McCarthy needs to be fired and Aaron Rodgers should be traded to the first AFC team willing to give up 2 1st round picks. Ted needs to retire. Elliot Wolf should be the new GM.

Start Brett Hundley. Start Abby, Monty and Janis. Maybe Cobb. Let Jordy heal, but understand that he's never going to be a deep threat again. Cut Adams. Get rid of Lang after the year. Go young. Tell Clay it's time to take a pay cut. Tell Sam it's time to retire with those head injuries.

I hated watching the game yesterday too, but a bad loss doesn't mean the season is over. Adjustments will be made. Capers didn't all of the sudden become a horrible coach because they're trying to scheme with 3rd string starters. Rodgers hasn't suddenly become a horrible human being and washed up QB just because of a slump. Is Cam Newton washed up because the Panthers are 1 - 5? Wasn't he just the MVP last year and headed for the HOF? Now he's walking out of press conferences again.

I'm looking forward to the turnaround when the pieces start to fall into place again. I think Lacy showed toughness that will bode well later in the year. I think Montgomery is climbing the ladder to being a real #2 WR. Rodgers will figure it out. All this other nonsense will soon be a distant memory.

This game was a disaster from the get-go. The defense looked nervous at the opening snap. CM3 was back to his old habits of getting sucked in. They were back on their heels the whole game. I really can't say anything good about the defense on any level yesterday. Gunter falling while trying to turn in coverage sums up the defense yesterday. Other than Burnett, the whole defense needs to be ashamed of that performance.

#12 needs to take a hard look in the mirror and ask himself if he still wants to play, and if he is still willing to pay the price of playing to be the best. The guy who was arguably the best QB in the NFL two years ago is still there. It just may not be who he wants to be anymore. Right now, he reminds me of Jay Cutler. He used to remind me of Steve Young.

I made the point that Adams was the wrong pick in 5/2014. I made a point that Adams sucked and would wreck A-rod. He Has. The truth is, if MM believes Adams is his answer he will get Fired. THE fix is this. A-rod now has to throw every-down! Period. Throw every-down! Give him every-down to throw. No running, no game management. Throw every-down. That way the Wrs can drop as many passes as they want. He will change back to a-rod. He'll accept a WR will drop the ball. The pressure is on the offensive line. And if MM and TT can't see they have the right WRs, replace them. If A-rod gets sacked he'll throw it faster. Something has to give with A-rod and his control. Drew Bres is what he must become. Throw the ball. The offense has to go back to the Attack.

Just said that one of the problems with the Packers offense is that its to predictable. WR's are not getting open enough and defenses know what they are going to do.

It's really pretty simple----- Rodgers playing at an elite level has hid the many sins of this team over the years, and now that he's sunk to below average, this whole organization will be exposed, especially the mediocre GM and below average HC.

I am wondering if it has finally sunk in that just because you play for GB does not mean your are entitled to win.

Time for a serious players only meeting. It doesn't matter what the game plan is, the players are the ones responsible for executing it and so far, they aren't.

I believe we are witnessing the great flaw with the Draft and Develop philosophy, Lack of depth and experience when injuries hit. We have 10 rookies on the 53 man roster right now. Thats nearly 20% of your active roster. And you have 8 guys in year 2. That's nearly a third of your team being barely out of diapers. When this happens year after year, your level of experience and leadership remains low consistantly and it makes a huge difference.

Also, when you focus such a large portion of your money on a single player, that player is expected (needs) to produce at a higher level than everyone else. The entire team is predicated on that concept. When that one players production goes down, it has a much greater effect on the team than for a team that more evenly balances it's talent pool.

Lots of issues here. All correctable. But I believe this team has slid fully into a second tier team. We have stagnated in our strategies and failed to move forward with the rest of the top tier teams. We have talent and CAN turn this around. The $64 question is, 'Will They?'

We saw Favre fall into bad habits during the latter part of the Sherman years, but a fresh start with a new coach in Minnesota got him rejuvenated. I think it's just time for a fresh start.

I'd love to get Jon Gruden out of the booth. As a former Packers assistant, I wonder if he would be tempted to take the head coaching job, if it were to become available.

Takeaway? The run D is average. I knew the O and pass D were bad before yesterday but I was hoping the run D would be top-10, anyway. The front 7 looks undersized next to a big, physical O-line.

This does not look like a playoff caiiber team. Average starting talent and no depth. All thanks to TT's draft and develop strategy.

I think the team could be on the verge of tanking - not quitting but not having the spirit to recover.

Key is Rodgers.

Here's what I think is wrong. Rodgers is in the deep frustration zone. On the personal level he doesn't want to look bad but on the team level I think he has had enough of poor talent, weak coaching and same old same old. He can't save this team so why even try.

Kuhn gone.
Stitton gone.

What about coaching:
Too many screw ups to list here.
Lack of creativity on offense.
Too much reliance on scheme on defense
Keeping poor performers too long.

What about General Manager:
Too conservative in getting talent.
Too much emphasis on finding that surprise player.
He's a D-lineman but we can make him a backer.
Keeping poor performers too long.

For me personally this is no fun any more. If the team doesn't finish well things could get really messy and messy can take multiple seasons to fix.

If you think I'm too pessimistic, just take a look at everything that has happened since the loss to the Chiefs in 2011. Steady downward trend. One of the best quarterbacks is about to crash.

The time has come to end the MM era. It seems MM has lost control of the team. Head coach is the leader of the team and is a major factor instilling confidence in the team. The team is playing as if they have no confidence or direction. AR looks lost and I believe he's playing as if he is second guessing whatever the game plan is. The team is playing poorly and it maybe their fault, but in sports when the team sucks it is the coach that takes the hit. This not a case of change for the sake of change,
it's case of change is necessary.

Change of gears. Since no one is going to fire a coach or let go of a GM while we have a winning record let's discuss a few take aways that are "good":
1) Abby, Janis, and Monty all saw playing time at receiver.
2) Oline looks great still. We can still ride the Oline when the season turns cold. Even if Rodgers isn't Rodgers. Assuming Jackson is activated.
3) Defense still has the potential to be top ten material when we get some guys back.
4) There is still a good chance Rodgers will become the good Rodgers. Examples: Matt Ryan became good again. Rivers had a really bad slump and he's good again. Brady had four bad games and then won a Superbowl after fans wanted him benched. Romo became good again before he turned into a voodoo doll.
5) Our Rookies are getting alot of reps and for the most part I like what I see for the future there.
6) The "big five" made its way into the playbook.
7) Davis had a sweet return
8) It's bears week and we can at least be happy by Friday.

One problem with McCarthy: teams don't fire playoff coaches. Look at Marv Lewis. Been in Cincinnati since 2003. Gets bounced from the first round of the playoffs every year, but he's still there.

The Packer offense can't even run a simple screen pass, it always looks like a Chinese Fire Drill! It's time for a change in coaching start with the OC!

Perhaps Rodgers need to stop relaxing and put in some work with the offense. I'm not saying he is no longer a good qb, but it still looks like he hasn't recovered from not playing in preseason.

As for the coaching, we have a head coach, assistant head coach-offense and an OC and they can't come up with a new game plan or make in game adjustments. Doing the same thing over and over and hoping for different results is... insane.

I think Rodgers has changed since he went "Hollywood". His significant other does an 80/20 diet, 80% fruits and 20% "whatever", or so she says. We already know he gave up cheese, a fine source of needed protein, especially for an athlete.
Protein builds muscle and the best source of protein comes from animal protein, according to the scientists. Fad nutritionists will tell you to replace animal protein with soy products and so does the soy lobby. That's pure hogwash.
Football players need to burn loads of calories in short periods of time. That's why going out on the field having had your berries and half a banana won't cut it.
