Packers to Make Changes to Throwback Uniforms
The Packers have worn the 1950 throwback uniforms four times since 2021, which included a win over the LA Chargers in 2023.
The Green Bay Packers will be unveiling their 2025 throwback uniforms on July 23. According to Andrew Lind of sportslogos.net, the Packers will unveil a new helmet that will be paired with their 1950s throwback uniforms.
The Packers have worn the 1950s throwbacks since 2021 when they debuted in a Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders.

Since 2021, they have been worn three more times: 2022 loss to the New York Jets, 2023 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and 2024 loss to the Detroit Lions.

While we initially believed the new helmets would be paired solely with their current 1950s throwback uniforms, it’s worth noting the Packers have one jersey slot available and notably wore gold jerseys with green or gold pants that season as well."
Lind also states: the belief is that the Packers are “on the verge of wearing the first airbrushed helmet in NFL history, one that mimics the yellow leather helmets the franchise wore in 1950.”

There are likely two options for the Packers with their 1950s uniforms. They can use a more realistic version of a gold leather helmet throwback to pair with their 1950s uniforms. Like they wore in 1950.

Or they can airbrush a more traditional brown leather helmet to go with their 1950s uniforms and pair the jersey with gold pants.

A darker leather helmet and darker pants could be similar to the pants worn with the 1929 Acme Packer throwbacks that were from 2010 to 2014, and the 1937-48 throwbacks worn from 2015-2019.

Why not; everything is better than those ugly white winter warning helmets. lol

Like: The "leather" helmets look pretty cool. The 1950's throwbacks are also a nice change of pace.
Chuck: The Acme throwbacks. I'm a little surprised it doesn't cause a nanosecond of confusion for our QBS, like, "Am I supposed to be throwing the ball to this guy in blue?...But apparently not.
The alternate white helmets are interesting, but they sort of make us look like the Jets.

I like them all, even the all white, but just one game per season. I love the current green and gold. But, ditch the Acme throwbacks - ugly, makes us look slow and nerdy.

As Nagler would say, "My mileage will vary." I've never liked the alternate version uniforms. I get to see so few actual televised Packer games in my area that I like to see MY TEAM uniforms when they are playing. Just a personal preference and I understand that some get excited to see it differently. Just NOT my thing at all. GPG!

This is really not about fashion or how it looks this is a money grab to market and sell different uniforms. As long as it’s limited to one game I don’t mind it. It is what it is.
All that being said I love our traditional uniform. Back in the day, when Packer TV games were “limited” for us out of market Packer backers there was nothing more beautiful than the G on a gold helmet, green shirt, gold pants. Within one second you knew you were watching the Green Bay Packers.

I love the white uniforms, although I wish they used the yellow helmet with it.
Do not like the all green or other throwbacks.
Our home standard uniforms are the greatest ever.
