Packers to Wear Commemorative '100 Years' Uniform Patch in 2018

-- The Green Bay Packers' uniforms will look slightly modified in 2018, the team announced on Monday.

To celebrate the franchise's 100th season, players will be wearing a '100 years' commemorative patch on the upper left breast of their jerseys. On top of the patch, there will also be a hoard of events happening around the city and parts of Wisconsin.

These activities will take place over the course of the next 16 months, according to team president Mark Murphy said. All leading up to the Packers' 100th birthday in August of 2019.

"We have been working on this for five years," Murphy said. "So this is something that is really going to be very important to the organization. We want to make sure we get it right.

"Our motto has been, you only turn 100 once."

The Packers last wore a uniform patch during the 2007 season to celebrate Lambeau Field's 50th anniversary, however, those patches were exclusively for home games. The 100th birthday patches will be worn for all 16 games throughout the regular season and presumably the playoffs.

The Packers wore a patch to celebrate the first game in a renovated Lambeau Field to start the 2003 season, and prior to that, they wore uniform patches during the 1993 and 1994 seasons, as did the rest of the NFL to celebrate the league's 75th year.

To align with the Packers' big season-opening plans in 2018, Murphy reportedly asked the NFL to allow the Packers to open the year with a home game, and according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Murphy's confident he'll get his wish.

Since being established as an official independent entity on August 11, 1919, the Packers have won 13 league championships, including four Super Bowls as well as 18 division titles. They've also made the playoffs 32 times, tied for the most appearances by a team in NFL history with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

I would have preferred the Heisman type pose, from the older packers logo.

The patch is on Facebook on jersey #19 which I think belongs to Trevor Davis who was recently arrested.

I visited US several times. The most moronic question I had to answer in landing formular was: "Are you planning to conduct terrorist attack on US soil!"

What do US authorities expect anyone to answer? Yes?

Same moronic question is: "Sir, do you carry any explosives?" If any do, why US athorities expect from anyone to say "Yes"?
