Packers vs. Redskins Wild Card Game Predictions from CheeseheadTV.com

 GAME PREDICTIONS Week 17

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Nagler 9-7 Washington 30-20
I really want to believe the Packers will make some drastic change on the offensive side of the ball that lights a fire, but I have little to no faith in McCarthy to make that change.
Czech 12-4 Green Bay 26-24
The Packers offense pulls it together long enough to position Mason Crosby for the winning field goal.
Bracco 10-6 Green Bay 19-13
Are we really at the point where the Packers can be knocked out of the playoffs by the Washington Redskins? really? I can't bring myself to believe that. Cousins gets exposed and the defense contributes to the scoring (much needed).
Tallitsch 10-6 Green Bay 41-13
No comment.
Garda 10-6 Washington 21-17
TI hate picking Washington for numerous reasons, but the Packers offense is dreadful and I think if it takes as long to get going this week as it did last week, they're in trouble. Green Bay's defense will keep it relatively close, but not close enough and Kirk Cousins may be a middle-of-the-road quarterback but he's solid at home. Personally, if I'm Jay Gruden I run the hell out of Alfred Morris/Matt Jones/Chris Thompson and attack the weaker part of the Packers defense, but frankly I don't give him that much credit. Cousins will do just enough to keep Washington ahead of the Packers offense and Washington's defense is just good enough to hold off another late surge by Rodgers and the offense.
Behnke 10-6 Green Bay 60-0
Packers roll.
Jennerjohn 11-5 Washington 23-19
This season has been so up-and-down that picking Packers’ games has been downright maddening. The Packers are still trying to figure out who they are and aren’t playing as a team. Those aren’t traits of a team that is searching for a Super Bowl title. Those are traits of a team that is searching how to win. The consistent inconsistency will continue in D.C.
Perone 9-7 Washington 35-14
Too much pass rush for this beat up Packers offensive line to handle.  Too many options for Washington in the passing game.  Washington builds an early lead and Green Bay never catches up.  A late Packers score makes it closer than it really is.
Snowden 10-6 Green Bay 21-18
Washington is on a hot streak, the Packers...not so much. The Packers defense has been playing strong and here's hoping the offense finally steps up and does their part.
Albrecht 9-7 Washington 26-17
The Packers ought to be able to run the ball and pass against a weak Washington DB group. But the Packers offense hasn't performed to expectations all year long and I see no reason they will start now.  The Skins offense has been rolling. The offseason begins Sunday night for the Pack.
Reuter 10-6 Green Bay 38-13
The end results weren't amazing, but I liked what I saw out of the Packers last Sunday on offense and defense. Washington is not a good team and is a product of an easy schedule and terrible division. I think the Packers roll and make a serious run in the playoffs.
Olson 10-6 Washington 23-17
I just don't see the Packers overcoming their offensive struggles. They can win this game, but it will be up to the offense.
Hobbes 10-6 Green Bay 27-17
The Packers have every right to win this game; Washington has the league's worst pass defense and Rodgers should tear them apart. If they will is another story
Strupp 9-7 Green Bay 17-13
Even with the struggles, the Packers are the better team, and their defense is the best unit in this game. They might have to score or put Rodgers and the offense in close range, but they'll be up for the challenge.
Kruse 10-6 Green Bay 23-21
The Packers will run the ball well enough against the 26th ranked run defense to survive.

I'm with Corey Behnke Packers Roll!!!!

Maybe not 60-0 but the offense looks like the offense we saw on the first drive last week and scores while not at will steady enough to beat the skins... The defense comes up with a couple of key turnovers as well..

34-17 which looks closer than it actually was

GO PACK GO!!!!

Dude. Look in the mirror. What has GB done to show they're a good team? Not much that I can see.

Wow Perone. 35-14? I think GBs season ends tomorrow too, but Washington isn't Arizona.

Yes. Reuter's spread is bigger than mine. Not a big fan of the number 35?

Adams catches everything thrown his way. Rodgers has 5 TD passes and the Packers win.

If the Packers get solid OL play and don't beat themselves with penalties and turnovers they will win this game. The Redskins will expect us to run so I say pass early and often, especially the quick short routes. Then pound with Lacy and Starks. Packers defense needs to maintain their level of play and hold Redskins to under 20 points. I like the Pack, 27 - 14. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

Yes, quick shorter passes to start, deep balls if and when we get a good lead. I sure as hell hope so.!!

Pack. No idea of the score. But we grind. We win. We live for at least one more week of a treacherous season.

I wish I knew who was playing where, and who is healthy. Even so, I think GB has the best D, and we will be able to run the ball. 21-13 GB.

Weather could be the X-factor today. Winds are supposed to be 20+ mph, which could have an adverse impact on the passing games. Who runs the ball better?

Packers 17-10

I like jbromusic's comment the best. I think he expressed what most of us are thinking. We WANT GB to win, but not sure they can pull it off, based on recent play.

Cincinnati meltdown will now be the one people will talk about for the next year. Wow what an ending. Seeing that our game will also be in the rain, we better watch out. We have more experience in bad conditions though and it might be the difference. Still want a blowout. Go Pack Go

MM has always said that unless its a downpour, rain usually isn't as much of an issue as wind. Wind kills the passing game.
