GreenGold stated over and over this last offseason and training camp that Bo was going to come up huge. GG is /always spot on!

Hoping Bo can be the perfect back-up to Watson because if he is the Packers have all the talent needed at WR.

Melton gets open, but I'm not thrilled with the way he body catches and cradles the ball. Reed snatches the ball. Melton lets it get into his body.

Melton is a smaller target. I don't know if his arms are actually shorter, but his catch radius is. That and contested catches he can improve. In the MVS role, neither matter.

Has GreenGold returned? He was big on Grant DuBose, who I think could be an ideal substitute for Wicks when he's out. I'm not saying this next game would be a fair evaluation, but in the future.

I'm the one who got a good look at Bo Melton at TC, and have been saying he should be used in the MVS role when #9 is out. Even though he got what, 4 catches in this win, he wasn't really used in that role that I saw. And that role works even without ever being targeted. Although if they don't cover him and he gets a TD off a deep shot, it works a little better ;)

While the team can't afford to never draft a WR for many years, I think Gutey could pass this time. All 8 WRs in the room are really good, with Simore Toure probably #8. I don't think he should be cut based on a couple targets when cold, although he might not be given another shot at returning.

GG likely will resurface again in offseason leading up to draft. Some of us just really enjoy assessing team talent and projecting talent needs with which college players are best qualified to fill those needs.

What a period in Packers history this has been since the end of last season! With some more needs still to assess, but it's getting whittled down ...

Starting to look like Toure as the odd man out. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Melton on punt returns.

Toure to IR. So he’s done for the season.

I was thinking in terms of career wise in Green Bay. You’re had his shot. I doubt Reed will ever return a punt again, he’s too valuable to get beat up like that.

I've been thinking Reed is too valuable to risk, too. Toure WR8, if he gets sniped from the PS that's a manageable risk. If Gutey drafts a slot corner, Nixon as returner makes more sense. Either way, Leatherhead's strategy on kicks seems right for this team.

Gawd I hope so…Toure has had enough opportunity to show what he has…let some other team worry about it

Both Bo and Reed are true slot guys….something I’ve been begging for …for yrs. They both have the speed to go deep…but , by body type and speed…could be top notch slot guys. I’m starting to have doubts Watson can stay healthy so it would be nice to have a big tall speed deep threat…like a jefferson or watson type. The old school me always wants at least 1 Calvin Johnson or DK Metcalf type…The packers have never really had that. This was the year gutey FINALLY got slot guys…the Edelman/ Welker types. You always need a Doubs type.

Clay Mathews had hamstring issues for yrs…. I hope that’s not the case with Watson

I think most of us would be satisfied if he had a career that compares favorably with Clay Matthews.

New Jersey kid he turned down scholarships from Penn state, Ohio state , Wisconsin, Nebraska and others to stay home at Rutgers where his dad played and his brother playing now . Great pickup for the Packers .

I will be the first to say I was wrong about Bo Melton. If he continues to perform at his current level, WR is not a high priority in next years draft. Now if Watson could only stay healthy. GPG!

Between #9 & 80 maybe they can cover the MVS role for a full season? If they practice together with JL that could really help ...
