Rob Demovsky - Just A Little Substandard

It's no secret that my podcast co-host and fellow owner of Cheeseheadtv.com is no fan of one Rob Demovsky, an employee of the Green Bay Press Gazette. I've been a little less stinging in my criticism, but I will say he is no Bob McGinn. (Then again, who is?)

Today's Press-Gazette carries a Demovsky penned article about ex-Packer/current Chief kicker Dave Rayner. Despite a horrible headline (not the writers responsibility) the article is decent, and actually one of Demovsky's better efforts. Unfortunately, we also find the following contained in the text:

In what was as intense a head-to-head position battle as there's been in recent Packers' training camps, Rayner tried 114 field goals (making 91) during practice, and Crosby attempted 115 (with 98 made). Neither one missed in the four preseason games.

Which is lovely and well stated. Unfortunately, the last line is completely untrue, as Mason Crosby missed a 52 yard field goal in the last preseason game against Tennessee.

Earth shattering? Hardly. Dissapointing, seeing as the man draws a paycheck to cover the Packers? Exactly.
