the good - the packers not playing down to the competition when in the past they have. The bad - continuing to neglect contain on the quarterback allowing herbert to gain big yards and a touchdown, ouch! the ugly - the play calling on short yardage, to predictable to be consistently successful. to many times they try running into the middle of the line where we do not block well.

On "the ugly", the first series was a really glaring example. 3rd & 1 was a Jayden Reed run up the middle(???) for 0 yds, and 4th & 1 was a swing pass to Musgrave for 0 yds. I don't understand how a real NFL team doesn't have a go-to play for these "Down & 1" situations. Green Bay has a 250 lb running back on the roster but it's like MLF forgets he exists in any short yardage situations.

Good definitely was Reed he seems to have a connection with Love as does Kraft, Musgrave and Doubs. Love I would say can be in good column too just think he holds ball too long

Bad certainly the offensive line play could not run the ball at all. Was supposed to be a strength.

Ugly is the injuries but also the kicking game sucks, how much can they put up with this kid Mason was old but dependable inside of 40 this kid couldn't hit the ocean from the deck of a boat. He has the look in the eyes like I don't want to be here.

Lions on Thursday not sure they have the horses, JA I am sure will find a way not to be in there, March salary dump wish his heart matched his confidence in himself. . Youth and injuries combo

Agreed, I like watching the enthusiastic rookies instead of Alexander. For whatever reason, he’s a totally different player now…. And not for the better.

Prior to yesterday's game Tucker Kraft had 3 catches for 11 yards. Now he has 5 catches for 43 yards in 10 games. Might be a bit of stretch to talk about his good chemistry with Love, at least for now.

With the TEs, one of the surprising things to me is that Musgrave, in my opinion, has been a much better blocker than Kraft. I didn't expect that.

Mar,
I thought yesterday was the first real glimpse of what Tucker can do with the Packers. Yes, I was well aware of Tucker' s talent pre-draft but because of Musgraves insane athletic ability we have consistently heard Tucker is an in-line TE. Tucker tip toeing run along the sidelines showed off his athletic ability and that he obviously is more than just an in-line TE. Tucker played only 9-man football in HS, and South Dakota State did not play against top competition. Tucker has been adjusting to a much higher caliber of professional athletes than he is used to. His play yesterday showed his abilities and his future along with Musgrave's looks great! The Packers TE room has more upside since the Paul Coffman days back in the 1980's. Excited about the Musgrave & Kraft combination moving forward.

I'm not sure about Musgrave being the better blocker over Kraft, but I think Kraft showed who's the better runner after the catch.

The Good: Playing with intensity and a never say die attitude.

The Bad: Poor calls into the middle of the line in short yardage situations and a kicker who doesn't belong on a professional football team.

Good - Kenny Clark I am pretty sure he was responsible for the Chargers fumble as well as sealing the victory with the pass knockdown.

Bad - Running game. Injuries hurt and we are still trying to run Dillon out of shotgun which has rarely been successful.

Ugly - Carlson my goodness this has been a bad couple of games.

It kills me to see Rhyan not getting a chance at RG. It took them forever to replace Newman, dump Amari Rodgers, etc, etc. See if Rhyan can be the future right guard and draft a LT as high as you can and rebuild two very weak spots. .

I'm gonna keep this one short today.

Good: Jordan Love, Christian Watson caught a TD, Doubs aggressively grabbed a ball for a TD, Jayden Reed and basically all rookie performances across the board.

Bad: Drops again, penalties again, defense losing containment left and right to mobile QB's again, and the special teams gaffed quite a few times today. (again)

Ugly: Jon Runyan, get the dude off of the field already. Is he Newman 2.0 and getting 2 years to prove his worth? Also, I don't think I need to really say it but the injuries. Jones' injury looked awful and plenty of others went down with ridiculous injuries.

Let's get everyone back healthy. A win is a a win.

As always, on to the next one!

Receivers are good and getting better.
Owen’s should be moved to the equipment room—handing out jocks and socks.
I’m becoming nervous about Carlson—am I wrong? I have been one of his biggest cheerleaders.
Let’s spoil the Lions Thanksgiving.
Go Packers!!!

I really like Owens on special teams but he is painful to watch out there on defense.

Carlson is going to be the placekicker for the rest of the season, but I'm really not sure about 2024. He hasn't made a 40+ yarder since September, and kicking is only going to get more difficult as the temperature drops. The missed XP against Pittsburgh was obviously not his fault, but the one this week was just ugly. If he can convert a few in the high 40s/low 50s in the December part of the season he's gonna be back next year. If this is the norm, I think they're gonna be looking for a free agent.

Good: finally some offensive progress. Loved the Tuck Kraft run.

Bad: injuries, calrdon raises concerns about kicking in colder weather.

Ugly: chargers defensive coaching is worse that Joe Barry. They are the ONLY real reason the Packers won.

I believe the Chargers are the biggest underachievers I’ve ever witnessed. They have talent up and down their roster and can’t get over the hill.

The good was a win. It was an ugly win, but it was a win.

The bad was Carlson. A missed Xtra point and FG. Is this guy reverting back to preseason?

The ugly was AJ's injury. Knees aren't supposed to bend that way.

Good:
*A win at home is always good. Defense showed some bright spots (mostly with Kenny Clark)
*Love did not have a bad day, lets just hope this is NOT as good as it gets.

Bad:
*GB fans that may be snowed into thinking today's win might have been progress when the reality is, it was just two bad teams and one got to run out the clock after squeaking ahead of the other.
*Missed opportunities, coaching play calls and lack of players not stepping up, mental errors, all while in the red zone. No doubt took points off the scoreboard.

Ugly:
*The Running game starting with the offensive line that seems incapable of opening enough daylight to slide a business card through. We have two and a half pretty damned good running backs but if we cant give them a seem..... well you know the rest.

The Good: Kenny Clark saves the game and Gary's dreadful penalty at the end of the game.
The Bad: MLFs play calling at the end of the game....too conservative.
The Ugly: The injuries

My thoughts as well concerning the play calling—no guts when it counted. But we survived it.

Good we won.
The bad, lack of contain and pass defense
The Ugly, having a team full of cronic injury prone guys. Campbell again? Jones again? Wilson out and no one touched him? Wow a lot of guys who cant handle the rigors of a football season, hell they cant stay healthy for two games in a row. Not to mention our number one O guy is out for life and has been an anchor to this team for two years now.

"Jordan Love..." Yeah, he looked decent. The biggest question is will he ever be able to improve the accuracy/consistency? Another example was when he underthrew Doubs deep left (I think it was Doubs) who had to wait, and the late ball enabled the DB to knock it away. I don't know if it would have been a TD or not, but Doubs was clearly behind the 2 nearby defenders. If Love connects on that play and on the one to Musgrave, his stat line would have gone from good to superhero. And even a lot of his completions suffer because he doesn't often hit the receiver in stride. People say, "Oh, that's fixable." I'd say I hope so, but it remains to be seen. But he needs to be more consistently accurate.

"anything resembling a running game..." Wait, there was something resembling a running game?? I agree that Dillon ran hard, but doesn't have much wiggle. Jones hasn't looked like Jones since week 1. He was awful last week, and didn't look great before leaving with the injury. He just doesn't seem physically right. But the obvious big problem seems to be the blocking (or want should have been blocking) which was horrible. At least a half dozen runs were dead and buried before the RB even got the ball.

Someone was writing that the Packers have already won too many games to have a chance at drafting WR Marvin Harrison out of OSU. Good. The Packers are looking good at WR and don't need more young draft picks. Use that first rounder for a stud OL guy. We need one.

BAD: The fact that this game looks entirely different if Keenan Allen doesn't inexplicably let the TD ball bounce squarely off his numbers, or if Q. Johnston doesn't bungle a likely game-winner in the final minutes. The Packers are really hurting for DBs.

So we can mention the 'bad' and 'ugly' here?

Isn't that kind of negative?

I'm a bit confused.

The Good: Jordan Love. His BEST game so far. Let's hope for more.
The Bad: Driving us fans NUTS with inconsistent play. I thought Nagler was gonna have a conniption during watch party.
The Ugly: INJURIES. Timing could not be worse with short week. Need rookies/PS guys to step up.

Good: Jordan Love. Our TEs. Wicks, Reed, Doubs and Heath. Watson's TD catch. The Lambeau Leap returns! A sure fire way to get the crowd into the game! Dillon moving the pile.

Bad: OL not making holes for the RBs. We resort to end arounds too much. Anders Carlson's inconsistency on both PATs and FGs. Leavitt getting two flags on the opening kickoff. Not a good way to start the game. Sean Rhyan not playing more snaps.

Ugly: Injuries to Jones, Wilson and Campbell and whomever else we missed. Down to Dillon and PS guy Merriweather at RB. Our tackling! We have to wrap players up and bring them to the ground. Running into them is no guarantee they will go down. Wrap them up!
