Week 9 Coverage Map for Packers-Rams

Fortunately (or unfortunately), most of the country will see the Packers face off against the Rams.

The Green Bay Packers have to win another game eventually, right? The Packers (2-5) will host their second consecutive game at Lambeau Field as head coach Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams come to town. The Rams (3-5) will look to get back in the win column after getting dismantled by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, 43-20.

Kickoff, once again, is slated for 12:00 p.m. CST and will be broadcast on FOX. Adam Amin will serve as the play-by-play announcer, and Daryl Johnston will serve as the color commentator. If you live in northwest Wisconsin, you will not be able to tune into the FOX broadcast but instead will be shown the noon game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons (shown in green). However, a majority of the country (shown in red) will see the Packers’ offense try to score a touchdown in the first half for the first time since Week 2 against the Falcons. Green Bay has beaten Los Angeles three straight times, dating back to the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

The Rams may be without their QB1, Matthew Stafford, who suffered a UCL sprain in his right thumb against the Cowboys. He is considered day-to-day, according to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop. If Stafford can’t go, Los Angeles will turn to Brett Rypien, who replaced Stafford on Sunday. Rypien completed five of ten passes for 42 yards in relief. The Boise State product started two games last season for the Denver Broncos, throwing for 422 combined passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions to go along with a combined completion percentage of 62.5%.

The Packers’ secondary became even more depleted on Tuesday after general manager Brian Gutekunst traded cornerback Rasul Douglas and a 2024 fifth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for a 2024 third-round pick.

Make sure to check out CHTV for coverage in the days leading up to the Week 9 contest as the Packers look to snap their four-game losing streak

With so many watching and a message sent by the Rasul trade, this would be a good game for the Packers offense to at least have 50% of the plays where everybody does their job.

Forget the script and come out with an open offense like they have done the second half of every game this year.

The Rams represent the 7th of 8 teams the Packers have faced this season that have a .500 win percentage, or worse.

So they're at home, Stafford has a bum thumb.

This could be a W, could be L.

CARRY THE G!!

That's about as much as i know about what this current Packer team is going to give us.
I have no clue.

That picture is worth a thousand words: Your 2023 Green Bay Packers: watching and waiting with no expectations.

Now if Stafford is out and we end up losing anyway, wow, I would think this would severely test the patience of the higher-ups. Would they continue on the path towards a wasted season or actually try to change course? I mean, you just gotta win this one.

The good news is that those of us in the Northeast don't have to watch the Packers be the punching bag as another team wins a get right game against them. The better news is that if we really have to watch football we might see even worse teams, NE and Washington. Or are they worse?

I cannot believe the coverage the network is willing to show this game. Is there even a corner small enough in sports bars to find a spot for it.

A win this week against the Rams might be the epitome of a false positive. The season is essentially over and the only games worth evaluating players, come over the next 4-5 games where actual good to very good teams finally arrive, on the schedule. They have already assessed Love and company can't compete against the average to bad teams, now they'll find out how far away they truly are from being the new doormat in the NFC, less the NFCN.

If one's expectations are high, a win over the Rams would give a false sense of hope for a second half run, but no one has such visions. Everyone knows this year's team is weak and struggling.

A win over the Rams is very important. They need to right the ship, get back on track, ... pick your metaphor. The morale in that locker room is undoubtedly poor, and nothing cures bad morale faster than a win. They need something positive to build on.

A loss to the Rams would be another brick in the wall of the "season's over" narrative. No one would have any reason for any confidence.

Either way, an important game.

As a Packer fan, i think every game is important.

BUT......i've been in 'wait' mode for several years.
I'll explain.....
I've been waiting, for the rest of the disease to be eradicated out of the building at 1265.
Namely the disease of the upper Management.
Or should i say, the mismanagement by upper management.

I got tired of this clown show for years....
Starting with the refusal of Murphy to replace Ted, when it was obvious the team was regressing.
Ted was getting very sick.
But when asked about Ted..Murphy would say.."when Ted wants to retire, he'll tell me"
Seriously?...NOOOOO
Your the President, the Gatekeeper, that isn't how it works.
You don't sit and watch your product regress because you don't want to replace your friend.

So then...the BOD's had to step in and order Murphy to replace him.
They had to make Murphy, do his job!!
Incredible..right?

So then, with no football operational experience whatsoever....Murphy puts himself in charge of all football operations.
HERE WE GO.......!!

Murphy changes the Packers bylaws to empower himself, promotes Gute after McCarthy wouldn't let Murphy hire Ball as the GM.

Then hires MLF, instead of letting Gute hire his own guy.

And in a nutshell....HERE WE ARE TODAY!!!....yippeekyAmotherf.......

So when i watch now, it's strictly for the entertainment value i can pull out of it until the rest of the disease is out of the building..

Is that Carrying The G?

I don't care either way.
A slogan for a product to sell alcohol and t-shirts and make some cash isn't the measuring stick of my fandom.

But i wait patiently for brighter Green Bay Packer days...but today, isn't the day.

Poor Daryl Johnston, demoted to the Fox JV Broadcast Team after years of loyal service. He doesn't deserve the punishment of that is this assignment. I hope he knows the crowd isn't booing, they're chanting "MOOOOSE!"

The Packers must still get good ratings because we have been "treated" to 6 of 7 live broadcasts here in southern New Mexico. If they're not on "Live", it's 18 holes at the local golf course. Then watch the replay later on NFL+. If this keeps up, I expect to be playing a lot more Sunday afternoon golf.

Pre season i had this team winnibg 6 7 tops. Now I think that may he a stretch. All I know is if this team commits to Love next year to save Gutts face, it will be a two win season. Would not be shocked if nfl does not put the pack on sunday or monday night next year..
Gonna get ugly for a long time pack fans. Gutt lefleur murphy ball, all of them have to go and a total org rebuild before this team is competitive again. All because they rode rodgers too long and missed big picks to rebuild quickly. Sad

Well looking at the map, it looks like I have a lot of pull with the NFL as I am in Florida for the season and more specifically in Fort Myers and I get to watch the Packers play LOL.

Don't know why that tiny part of Florida is treated to the Packers, but I will take it and hopefully, they will play a bit better.

As a Texas Rangers fan who thinks he jinxed them the last time they lost the WS by watching the last 3 games, I decided to only follow on radio and via ESPN game cast...and it worked! Me thinks I'll try that with the Pack this weekend. Certainly couldn't hurt. GPG
