Bills Sign 2nd Round DT Torell Troup

Buffalo Bills second-round defensive tackle Torell Troup has agreed to terms on a four-year contract, reports Steve Wyche of NFL.com.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

A two-time second-team All-Conference USA selection, Troup spent much of his time at Central Florida occupying blockers. In 47 career games, including 39 starts, Troup totaled 105 tackles (24 for a loss) and six quarterback sacks.

Troup is regarded as having a high-motor, with prototypical size (6-3, 314) and strength (34 reps on bench press at Combine) to play the nose tackle in the NFL.

As the Bills convert to a 3-4 system, Troup is considered to be their nose tackle of the future. Troup will rotate with Kyle Williams during his rookie season.

With Troup signed, the Bills can now shift their efforts towards signing first-round running back C.J. Spiller.
