Broncos OC McCoy Candidate For Browns OC Position

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy is a candidate for the same position with the Cleveland Browns, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports.

The 38-year old McCoy joined the Broncos in 2009 after spending nine seasons with the Carolina Panthers, where he coached the quarterbacks from 2003-08.

McCoy's lengthy history with newly hired Broncos head coach John Fox, who was the Panthers' head coach from 2002-10, likely means there will be an opportunity for him to remain with the Broncos, perhaps in the coordinator role.

Cabot notes that McCoy is represented by coaching agent Bob LaMonte, who also represents Browns head coach Pat Shurmur, president Mike Holmgren, and general manager Tom Heckert.

LaMonte also represents John Fox.
