Cowboys Claim TE Kevin Brock Off Waivers

Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys have claimed first-year tight end Kevin Brock off waivers from the Chicago Bears.

Archer believes that the addition of Brock doesn't bode well for undrafted rookie tight end Nick Tow-Arnett, who hasn't been able to practice due to a knee injury.

Brock was waived when the Bears signed free agent linebacker Brian Iwuh on Monday. Brock (6-5, 255) signed with the Carolina Panthers after he not being selected in the 2009 NFL Draft. A native of Hackensack, New Jersey who played his college ball at Rutgers, Brock went to training camp with the New York Jets, and spent some time with the Pittsburgh Steelers before spending the final six weeks of the 2009 regular season on the Bears' practice squad.
