Cowboys Trade Up, Select WR Dez Bryant

Quiet throughout much of the off-season, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has traded up three spots in the 2010 NFL Draft to select Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys swap first-round picks with the New England Patriots, and added a third-round pick (90th overall), while receiving a fourth-round pick (119th overall) back from the Patriots.

Bryant (6-2, 224) was suspended by the NCAA for much of the 2009 season after lying to NCAA investigators about a visit to Deion Sanders' house. The most physically-talented receiver in the draft, often compared with former Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Bryant caught 87 passes for 1,480 yards with 17 touchdowns during his last full season at Oklahoma State.
